Oh you guys.... :T You are fab, all of you.

When I see him I will have a sensible conversation, rather than the reactionary "How f**king stupid are you?" that he got yesterday :o

NM sounds like a good solution - I hope something gets sorted for you soon.

Fuddle - i often have overnight oats. Or i have them for lunch - I find a glass jar of them so portable.

I soak the oats in milk - preferably almond for me. I add grated courgette or a spoonful of chia seeds and i like a teaspoon of Maca powder occasionally for taste (kind of caramel). I add frozen blueberries and raspberries and leave it all to soak. in the morning I add a couple of spoonfuls of greek yogurt (full fat) and a couple of spoonfuls of chopped nuts and seeds.

    it is VERY filling.

Re diet - like Softstuff I LOVE food, but I hate processed food (mainly due to the MSG). i usually only eat two meals a day also - a late brunch and dinner. Snacks are fruit, or carrot sticks and hummus.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Last night I was looking at the sky . I couldn't see a single star due to heavy cloud but I was thinking of Stephen Hawking , burtha and karcher and yourself and everyone here .

In a situation such as burtha suddenly found herself in lots of things can happen . Mine wasn't the same but I went inside my head and concentrated on planning the ex husbands exit .

Just getting day to day is draining . Trying to shield your children from what is happening and get them up and out and head for work then give them mum time too is a balancing act and is exhausting .

I have friends in burthas situation and some eventually gave an errant husband a second chance some didn't .

When burtha was last posting she seemed to have support from friends and people at work etc which is good . I could be wrong but I feel one way or another she's getting through the days and concentrating on one day at a time . She will know we're here willing her forward and will still be here if she comes back .

I'm glad things are calmer VJsmum . It's a case of slowly , slowly catchee monkey . Quiet comments and observations are more productive than giving them an opening for loud and defensive .

A late brunch and then dinner is fine . I was more concerned at monnas breakfast , lunch and nothing else . On reflection it depends what time lunch is in monnas life it's 12-1 in my life but different people will eat later .

Lordy if MONNA gets her pom poms out again and uses them to cheer lead they'll be like twin flails, that poor heffalump will get concussion and THEN come Armageddon (or shortage of jelly babies, whichever is most pressing) he'll be so confused he'll be no use at all poor boy!

MONNA I heed your words, it will be forever and it will need constant vigilance and I 'm just stubborn enough to have some hope of sticking to it, only time will tell!

Lyn you have a sensible interpretation of things so this isn't aimed at you .
That comment by Kate Moss damaged a lot of youngsters who took the comment at face value . Those personally and professionally dealing with the pressures via the media and peers while trying to undo the damage from eating disorders still shudder when it crops up .

Thanks Lyn I didn't feel you were intending any offence . Youngest had two lengthy spells in adolescent MH units due to bullying and peer pressure . She wasn't overweight but like many believed the media stuff would make a difference and all would be well . We are lucky she is alive now and didn't die like other girls in the unit . Just a sore spot with me .

Monna & pom poms - Hester with a black bottom - Mar with human sized jelly babies - gawd 'elp us!

Polly - strange - I did the same thing last night too! Saw a lovely item on FB. A picture of Steven Hawkings motorised chair with him walking away from it into a star strewn sky. Very poignant and apt - RiP
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

To me Steven Hawking is free now among the galaxies . It was the third anniversary of Terry Pratchetts passing a few days ago . In my head he strides across DW shaking his head at the goings on down here . What a book he could write now .
