Thank you all for your wonderful help re: my problems with online banking. I tried following your advice maryb but they suddenly wanted me to authenticate my Google account. Whaaaaat?
So I gathered up what information I could and resolved to throw myself on the bank's mercy when I had finished with Lunch Club today.
Having been got up by the dog at 4.30, I decided to have one last go online after 3 days of desperate trying every hour.
Lo and behold!
The login page turns up as bold as brass.
I have to confess I wept with relief.
Everything in order and ticketty boo.
My bacon has been saved.
I'm leaving at the crack of dawn so may not have time to get back on here before I go.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It has taken three generations to go from farm to garden to tin-opener.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I'm glad you got there Monna. Don't fret though, it isn't just you who has bother with internet sites, even hubby as an IT professional is sometimes stumped by poorly performing websites. I'm stumped more often, but then usually ask him!
I spent 6 hours painting today (after 6 hours painting yesterday). Hope this is a sign I'm getting the sleeping right and returning to decent energy levels. That said, I might take an afternoon nap :rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Brilliant news monnagran :j xx
Well, I thought we weren't due to get any more snow here until tonight, but there has been some more overnight. Not sure if DS will go to work, as it's down little country lanes where cars get stuck in weather like this.
It's "bin day" today, but they will be much later than usual because they use the same drivers to drive the gritter trucks.
When DS got home around midnight last night he said it was -5.5 here but he'd been working on the edge of a town a bit further east and it was -11 there :eek:0 -
Went to see Fnding your Feet yesterday afternoon with DH and some friends. Very good! I wondered if it may have been more hype than substance but with such a great cast needn't have been concerned. Like marigold hotel it has back stories for the characters unlike a lot of the films from across the pond. Can thoroughly recommend.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I am on a chrome laptop and find that if I go to the top of the right hand side of the screen there are three vertical dots in a line and if I click on that I can search "incognito" and then type the bank's name and it lets me log in and check my accounts etc.
it has been snowing overnight and there are a couple of inches lying with more snow still falling but very lightly at the moment.
DD had a birthday yesterday and we had intended to go out for a shopping trip etc today but her flight only let her get home at four in the morning so will see what is best for her later. Did manage to book a fancy afternoon tea for Saturday for four of us at a place we had not been before which her sisters seem impressed by.0 -

I have more sense than to go out and measure.
