Monna, can you phone the bank?
We were quickly in and out of our house too. Frankly we weren't looking for perfect, we were looking for decent bones and that took all of 5 minutes to figure out. After all, if there's anything wrong that's what the paid inspector tells you. Fingers crossed xxSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Fingers crossed for Monna.
Why is it as soon as I remove the ladder that I need to get in and out the boat someone knocks on the window.
The washing machine is behind the ladder and I have 3 loads to do today.
It was a neighbour asking if I needed any shopping, very kind of him but I went yesterday.
Very cold and sunny here, once the washing is done I need to see if the outside taps are working so I can refill the water tank, I also need to fill the coal bucket and empty the ash bucket., it's a busy life on the cut.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Hi, and thank you all for your tips. I did phone the bank eventually after going through all sorts of hoops to track down an actual phone number. They dont like admitting that you can actually talk to someone, do they? They much prefer you to contact them on line, which is OK if you're not actually trying to tell them that you can't log on. Anyway, a delightful young man patiently took me through clearing cookies and then announced that I'd be all right now. He was very chastened when I had to admit that it still said "site cannot be reached." I am now off to clear a few more cookies. Chocolate chip ones.
Good luck in Coventry VJsmum.
Lunch club is on again tomorrow. Apparently we can't let down the old people who live on their own. Can't help reflecting bitterly that I am old and live on my own. But then I kick myself and thank God that I am in a position to help those who really need it.
Well, those cookies are calling me.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning all
Today I am being sent to CoventryWell actually, I am going of my own free will but that isn't as funny
I am off to interview someone for my PhD
No snow to speak of here in the Midlands, though we may get some later in the week.
I am making the most of being out and about in the car (I rarely drive out of our town as it is easier and cheaper for us to go by train) to go to the tip (such excitement) and to Dunelms to see if I can get curtains for the newly decorated lounge.
Swedish furniture is mostly assembled - lordy but it takes a while to do it, but now we've only got to put the bl00dy doors on. Then we can start to put stuff in it. OH has promised to cull all sorts from his books, vinyl and CD collections. We shall see.
Oof but I've had enough of this winter...

Monna is it RBS or Nat West you are having problems with? There have definitely been cookie issues with RBS for about 4-5 weeks. Can you try a different browser.Make £2025 in 2025

Thanks Slinky, it's NatWest. Yes, I might try a different browser if I knew how. I've only recently found out what a browser is, how you change it is completely beyond this tired old brain.
I am terrified of changing anything because if something happens that I'm not expecting I'm completely lost. I can do what I can do, but I've no idea how it all works. I come from the quill and blotting paper generation and while I am willing to try anything new I don't have enough years left to waste them struggling with things that don't really interest me.
So tomorrow I go to the bank and beg for help.
Fortunately I can play the helpless little old lady to perfection. Particularly when, as in this case, it's true.I believe that friends are quiet angels

It's worth getting somebody to go through it with you and show you how, as unfortunately it seems to be a recurring issue. I had it happen on Firefox, I mentioned it to somebody I knew who banks with the same bank and they were having the same issues but on Chrome. The penny dropped with her that it may be the cookies. We both cleared our cookies and got back in again, but it's something I've had to do several times, most recently late last week.
ETA the logins for RBS and Natwest are very similar as they are connected banks.Make £2025 in 2025

OK Monna, the easiest thing is to do an internet search for Firefox. When you open the result it will give you the option to download and install it. Firefox is OK don't panic. Once it installs open it but don't click the option to make it your preferred browser. That way it will just show as an icon on the screen when you fire up your tablet and you can just open it when you need it without having to use it all the time
You should then have a search bar just like Google and you can search for Natwest private banking loginIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
