how was the day in the life of a 24 hour monitor mar?

    tight, ratty, & itchy! :D:D
  • Oh Mar that's not nice.
We've gone on a little jolly, we've taken the boat out, we had dd and dgd with us we went to the local pub, treated them to a meal. Then they drove home and we've traveled on for a few miles.
We will return to the Marina on Sunday probably.

Thanks Karcher. Just found some HM no-lasagne in the freezer (it's got tonnes of veg in it), so we're about to have that with oven chips!!

DH has just been researching a trip to Canada to visit other friends, but that will be next year. It feels too greedy to even contemplate doing that this year! :rotfl: Plus, we have to do s.o.m.e work to pay for the airfares :)
Ohh, perhaps the round the world cruise could carefully visit Niagara falls, and we could disembark there for shore leave?!
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Do it, life is too short. No point saving for a rainy day when who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Rightly or wrongly I have responded (justifiably so) to the abuse I received the other day...I may be unemployed by Monday but I feel better for stating my case and not allowing someone to walk all over me. Really who do these people think they are?

I am knackered and was going to bed an hour ago but my head won't let me rest. Too many injustices in this world and I can not fathom why hurting others can ever make some happy, but clearly it does.

I don't understand it and could not bear to cause anyone any hurt.

    I'll shut up now...sorry x

Karcher if you become unemployed that quickly, there may well be legal processes & recompense...BUT HUGE kudos for the responding. One has to protect oneself xx

Floss it's complicated but I could be dismissed that quickly as I have no rights. I just couldn't stand the injustice of what was being thrown at me. I work hard, I take pride in my work despite the poor pay, so for someone to insult me personally was a step too far.

    Thank you :) xx

Well done karcher :T That was really brave xx

So pleased to hear about the new clothes nm! Good for morale :)

Hester i keep meaning to say, about your hospital saying you can't have a cataract op because you're over 60 - it should perhaps be pointed out to them that the Department of Health or whatever it's called these days has said that it is "completely unacceptable to leave people to go blind."
  • Mar I wasn't draped anywhere, it's bloody nippy out today and I had an energetic 3 year old with me.

It's no more restful even without the 3 year old as CHS is leaping out of his chair every few seconds to check how many hours we have left in the batteries!

Ivyleaf it's all hedged about and buried in mumbo jumbo, I'm still trying to get to the truth. No one will admit there is a ban in place but people are being lost in the system, given stupid excuses and send round in circles.
