Funny you should say about trust Mrs LW, I was talking to Captain Hot Stuff, I wasn't wearing the PVC mac with nothing on underneath, so he had enough blood still in his brain.
Anyway as I was saying, I was talking to CHS about trust as he is often perturbed by my cynicism and general lack of trust.
He asked if I actually trusted anyone and I told that I trusted him, he then asked me if I trusted anyone else and I told him I trust three of my children, he was horrified to realise that I only trust three out of the four.
I love the one I don't trust but there are mental health issues involved and so love is all I have, not trust.
Sad isn't it.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
I'm not cynical: I've just been happyslapped by reality far too often.0

Hester - perfectly understandable that you love but don't trust one of your offspring. How can you trust someone whose mental health problems make them unpredictable? Nothing in this life is ever straightforward, is it?One life - your life - live it!0

I've just been reading through this thread and haven't laughed so much in a long time. You lot are without a doubt the most hilarious bunch that I have had the pleasure to come across for years
, and as mad as I am
.
If I come bearing rich tea biscuits for the elephant, and chocolate digestives for the rest of you and manage to do the 'limp handshake' to monnagran's satisfaction, could I join?
Iam frequently being told I am as mad as a box of frogs, so I think I should fit in0 -
Welcome Hollyharvey
I did not have quite enough flour to make a cheese sauce tonight so I sent DS. I only gave him £1 and he came back with a 3 kg bag. Yes 3 Kg not 3 LBS. I had washed out a big plastic tub to put DGS's stickle bricks in. The flour I had left after putting some flour in my normal tub filled the tub. Do you think we could make use of the flour I will never use that much.
I can't make any cakes I forgot the margarine on Friday.0 -
Holly, would you happen to have any sugar-free bickies, only I'm low carbing?!
Welcome :wave:I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
Welcome fellow Daily Oser.
Holly if they let me in, I'm sure that you will be welcomed with open arms. Just a word to the wise, the more bonkers you are and if you always have a plentiful supply of biscuits, the better. Just don't mention Jelly Babies too loudly :shhh: because if Mar gets wind of them you could get ambushed, so please don't forget to duck below the parapet, tout suite ! Not sure if I'm making sense anymore so I think I'll retire to my bed.
Goodnight allFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0
