Morning all
Wonderful news Mar:T
Good thoughts for NM, Ivyleaf, MMF and anyone poorly or stressed.
Goodness the wind  I honestly don't think I've heard anything like it. I knew something had happened in our garden as there was an unusual banging noise, but fortunately it was just the lid of our garden storage container...
I have been able to get back to work this week (work being studying at home for my PhD) which is a relief. I am not 100% on the ball but much, much more able to concentrate..
Off to yoga in a mo. OmmmmmmmmmI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

I had a good Journey both ways today. Got to the Christie in just under two hours. I got the airport train so it stops at lots of stations. I tried getting off at Oxford Road Station. Regretted it for a few minutes when I saw how low down the platform was. I had to be helped off. The drop was longer than my legs it was like doing the splits. I saved me at least half an hour because the train goes to the farthest platform from the entrance at Piccadilly. It takes at least ten minutes to get to the tram which runs under the station. Then walk to the bus and at least 15 minutes on the bus to get back to the bus stop outside Oxford Road Station.
Coming back I got the Preston train sheer luxury compared to local trains. From Victoria Station to my back door took me 26 minutes. I did get a taxi from Bolton Station because the buses change to hourly at 6.30 pm so I would have just missed one.0 -
Not posted for ages again
, but have been reading along.
My thoughts have been with VJsmum and MMF . I do like the idea of a memorial service. I feel it's an opportunity to celebrate a loved one's life when things are not so raw.
I've been recovering from the house move that didn't happen - don't ask; the rat poison in the new house's kitchen was the final straw and we were lucky to be able to stay in our current house. I have vowed not to complain about this one for a long time and to be very careful about what I wish for in future.
On a positive note, I have been de cluttering like mad. It's never going to cost me as much to not move ever again; if you see what I mean! Two boxes of books have been ear marked for the charity shop today, which has at least compressed my collection somewhat. I really don't like parting with books.
The crochet raccoon is still unfinished. Christmas has come and gone and so has the intended recipient's birthday. Keeping positive, I now have until next Christmas to finish it :rotfl: .
Hugs to all in need of them.

Feeling sorry for myself.
I awoke an hour ago drowned in sweat. My bedding is soaked but I haven't the energy to change the sheets.
My sinuses are blocked and painful as well as a painful hacking cough.
Just had a cup of tea and some paracetamol which I hope kick in soon.
Excuse my self pity but I've noone else to moan to'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
