If grandparent's generation was as innocent as the driven snow, where would the parental generation have come from?

I used to chuckle at Chaucher's wife of Bath as a very blunt character with a huge appetite for life and all that entailed. Putting things politely as trying not to freak anyone out.

I don't know what you are all on about. Where did this idea come from that anyone over the age of 70 can't possibly have, or have ever had, any carnal experience whatsoever.
Let alone make jokes about it.

My daughters in law have been known to hush their friends if they got a bit risque in front of me. It gave me endless amusement. I have to be very careful around my sons too, who are quite rightly shocked that their mother should know about such things.

My best friend is having some surgical procedure and she reported with great glee that the consultant asked her when she had had her last sexual experience. "August 20th, 1990 on Wittering beach." she snapped back. He was poleaxed.
I was rather sad because that was where they had done their courting and they were obviously on a sentimental journey because her husband had cancer and died in December of that year.

Now, this may look as though it has been posted by Monna, but actually it has come from Hester. She knows about these things. Monna is far too old and staid, innocent even, to take part in such salacious discussions.

the funniest thing is when they have s-e-x education in primary school usually in a morning lesson. They are all giggly then sometime over lunch, they all work out that their parents must have done 'it'. Any teacher will tell you that there comes a point when there is a sudden hush
