Hugs MMF - such a difficult time

Hugs MMF.

It's very cold here the boats and jetties are white with frost, the fire stayed in all night and just needed topping up this morning.

Yesterday we had a pump out ( emptied the poo tank) and bought two bags of coal, £20 for the pump out and £13.50 each for the coal. The fuel boat will be passing at the end of the month and we will stock up then as the coal is cheaper, we will move on to the cut to meet up with him.

We are also burning free logs in the evenings as it's nice to look at the flames.

Thank you so much, every one of you.
We are just waiting for them to finish the morning washes etc etc before we pop to hosp. My brother is there now, cos he has to drive over 650 miles south today. He'll fly back up as / when needed. I'll tell him Floss is waving at the M6, Preston-ish

Hester - don't know how big those bags of coal are but Aldi and Home bargains do 10kg bags of smokeless nuggets for about £4 a bag if it's any help.

Freezing here today also. My bedroom has just risen to the dizzy heights of 15C, and that is with the oil filled radiator on for the last 5 hours. I don't think that you can see your breath in the rest of the house, but it's a close thing.

I filled hotwaterbottles, put on a fleece dressing gown and got back into bed. I'm toasty warm and comfortable, though holding the tablet makes me realise that I should have added gloves to the ensemble.

A bit later I will screw up my courage and get down to the kitchen where I will do some baking as an excuse to put the oven on.

THOUGHT FOR SUNDAY

The truth is that airports see more sincere kisses than wedding halls and the walls of hospitals hear more prayers than the walls of churches.

Mar I sent possibly the longest pm in history in reply to your question a day or two ago . Haven't been on the site for a few days . I'm not sure if you'll get it as I had the log in message when I tried to send although I was logged in already . Logged in again but may mean a long pm into the ether .
Haven't read back properly so hugs to all who need , hope to catch up later .
