Speaking of food... ... one of my clients needed help prepping food and setting the table for guests last week. I have a food hygiene cert because I do offer to cook as part of my home help services, so was happy to get stuck in. Makes a change from cleaning! The table looked lovely, with matching napkins, table mats and pretty china in use. I put my, huh hum, creative skills to good use to fancy-up the cheeseboard with artful slivers of 2 different coloured apples, celery and a handful of walnuts too! Sorry Mardatha, that probably hasn't made you feel any better.

This afto I decided that I would paint some mini xmas scenes as card toppers for the impending festive season. I enjoyed myself but it took longer than i had anticipated (mainly because I am not a naturally talented artist, I have to try hard or it looks like a small child was let loose!).

Now sitting in front of the wood burner, all cosy, but dreading the defrosting tomorrow!
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

I couldn't get to sleep for ages last night, and eventually woke this morning at 9.50, and church was at 10.30. Panic stations! Dear OH took me in the car and dropped me off, and came back for his breakfast and to watch the Cenotaph service.

The island does sound lovely. I haven't been there since, ooh, must be about 1961, on a Sunday School outing from Gosport.

Don't fret Ivyleaf, the Island hasn't changed much since then.

Ivyleaf, I lived in Gosport for a while, so easy to get to the Island, I have many happy memories of my day trips.

Karcher, I will hold you to that. I do a good B&B, or will do when I get my bungalow.

You'll have to supply your own crossover pinny and curlers.

Consider it 'held' monna. You have no idea how much I'd love to come and visit :) x
