Ah, but whose size 12? Marks and Sparks? Primark? Versace?

I am a 12-ish on top, and 12 to 14 downstairs, most of the time, but sometimes I buy larger sizes for a better fit. I think it is something to do with how womens' bodies have changed in size over the decades due to changes in diet and lifestyle.

I am not joining in any discussion about clothes sizes on the grounds of extreme embarrassment.
Pollyanna I hate you. Speaking as one who puts on weight if I breathe too deeply, all this talk of roast dinners, puddings, cream cakes and other forbidden goodies is extremely distressing.

The feedback from yesterday's viewing is that it is a 'definite maybe.'

    Back to the drawing board.

  • Bear in mind Monna I don't eat all those foods on a regular basis . I eat a pretty balanced healthy diet . It's the darn genes . I've those genes from my dad and poor mum passed on her health genes to both myself and DD . Swings and roundabouts I suppose .
I shall quietly say sounds hopeful re the feedback and nothing more as I fear my vibes may not be helpful :)

    Morning all.

A very brief post today as the gremlins have been eating my offerings at a more than acceptable rate.
It is so dispiriting when you have patiently tapped out a longish and thoughtful-ish post only to have it disappear.

So on this damp dreary morning I will just say "Hi" and disappear myself.

Hi all, I have been skimming the thread but RL has got in the way, DS has to have a 7 day Holter (sp?) test and DH had another silent heart attack so, when not at the hospital I've been mostly sitting in a corner blubbing. I am keeping up with the shopping/money ideas tho, and may start batch cooking in the slow cooker for when I haven't time to cook. I need to start with the decluttering soon as well.

Knitwitch - we are going through the PIP process as well, it seems so stupid that we needed a car when it was DLA but now we don't!!, we have about 4 weeks to wait for the decision so I will keep everything crossed for you as well.

As I said I haven't read all the posts so may I wish good vibes for those that need them x

Just popping in to give babs a gentle hug.
Also wanted to send special hugs to everyone who is having an awful time at the moment, it seems that it is most of you on this thread. Please look after yourselves too, as you look after everyone else here.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow Hester. The cheap sherry is ready and waiting for that celebratory glass.

Try not to look too smug when you walk out finally.

  • Happy Retirement Hester, the weight will slide from your shoulders as you close the door on the department for the VERY last time and walk away, enjoy every second of the freedom that is now yours! xxx.
