It sounds like a perfect wedding, Burtha, and it's proof that you don't need to spend thousands of pounds to have a memorable day. I guess family and friends are helping with the arrangements? One life - your life - live it!4

Sound like you have everything in hand @burtha
I'm sure your hen do will be just right for you and the wedding absolutely perfect!
A rain skirt is a wrap around style skirt made from waterproof, or showerproof at least, fabric, so when your rain coat isn't as long as your skirt, you don't get wet!

Burtha seems you have everything under control and I hope you can find a ring that you like in plenty of time. I shall be sitting here with my wedding hat on 👒 and wishing you and the frog every happiness in the world, you deserve it after all you went through 💕Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently4

The rain shirt sounds like a good idea, MrsCD. Most of my waterproofs finish mid thigh so might look into making one.
Burtha-I hope the wedding goes well. My wedding was mainly a DIY day. My mother and her friends did the catering, my aunt made the cake, my grandad grew the flowers and my grandma and aunt arranged them and did the bouquets. My uncle drove us to the church, a schoolfriend played the organ and my sister's BF took the photographs. The local WI (Mum was president) did the washing up.4 -
morning,
most of the wedding stuff I'm doing myself , going into the community centre the night before to set up . a friend will collect the balloons for me on the day itself and the caretaker can let the hog roast man in .
finished of the words on the tea trolley yesterday.. just need to varnish it now . so I'm getting there .
I've got a load of old sheet music to go around to pots of herbs to do next , all 1930 to 60s love songs ..they look funky fabulous,
