We have to clear cookies nan? Why did no one ever tell me that, Apart from the baked variety my only online contact with cookies has been the dreaded accept or reject when going on a companies website. I was doing that with B&Q yesterday working through the options and as always rejedting all but essential, Nothing changes on the screen so I'm never sure al but essential are rejected. They could at least say you have rejected all but essential then I'd know.I'm a fan of Michael Sheen too along with my beloved Doctor David Tennant and they're a match made in heaven. Both Good Omens and the two series of Staged kept me laughing through dark pandemic days.Good Omens was written by Terry Pratchetts sidekick Neil Gaimen and based on Terrys book of the same name. I have never laughed so much. Two angels one from Heaven fussy and very dapper Aziraphole and one from Hell renegade Crawley and he is mad as a box of frogs and loose living forced to unite to save the world from Armaggedon..If you have Prime Video you can get that there or like me OS buy the DVD,They made Staged during lockdown filming from their own homes with interupptions from children and other halves. The news of Michaels new baby came in part 2.I grew vety envious of Michaels lovely Welsh Fireplace in his Welsh home with it's lovely roaring fire.. i was impressed when he would pop out from time to time to shop for a sheilding neighbour. They would catch up talke nicely then one or other usually David would get rather superior and provoke a which of us is the best actor argument or similar. One day he said loudly well I am The Doctor which provoked another argument . Both were haunted by lockdown hair and DTs was out of control as was MSs. Micheal has very thick hair and it got very wild as did his beard.I enjoyed both series 1 and 2 and can really recommend them a good distraction in worrying times as was Good Omens. I'm counting the days until Series 2. Can they save the world when they are complete opposites? MS in his dapper three piece suits very fussy and DT resembling an unmade bed who was cackling madly driving along with his car on fire surrounded by flames.Lovely sunny day here on the NW coast. I hope everyone has their share of the sun.I see the Ming has visited to compain in her own way about some imagined slight. Not very clear what.Have a good day all. Chocolate day!pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Hi @ZolaBuddy I'm a very occasional visitor to the Fence; RL seems to keep tripping me up, and by the time I've done all my tasks, it's past bedtime and I still haven't popped by to see what everyone's up to!We have three internet devices; a pc and a laptop both on W7, and a netbook that runs W10, which I really, really don't like. The pc is mainly used by my DH, I use the laptop, and the netbook is for a) holidays or b) when I'm feeling too groggy to sit up, and must go online lying down.Random factoid of the day: My aunt used to have a Siamese cat named Ming. He never thought he was a vase, as far as I know, though.@pollyanna_26 I have my FurryFox set up to clear the cache every time the device is shut down. No stale cookies to be found here!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)9

Mar thank you for your advice. I admit I did suspect you were up to your old tricks and contacted the family techies to check it out concerned if I followed your advice I might find myself staring at the interior of " The only haunted freezer in Scotland^I managed to avoid accepting your homemade sweeties from the Poiison gardens in Alnwick and your hombaked treats but it seems it's a genuine link.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

I am very envious Wolfie of a PC and Laptop on W7,I miss W7 but dds boyfriend did his best for years to keep me on it and it was a sad day when it was no longer possible. I lked W7 it seemed better bahaved. How strange your aunt had a cat called Ming, Some people believe cats come back and I've waited for our beloved Oliver rather like Amy Pond sitting on her suitcase waiting for her Doctor but apart from hearing his own special Christmas bell ringing at night on the Christmas tree he never has.Was your aunts Ming a nice cat? There's a belief if cats developed thumbs they'd rule the world. Jacinda Arden the pm of New Zealnd had a cat with thumbs. I'm beginning to wonder if. Ming/Mar is such a cat. She must be a big one to tackle a Heffalup though.I hope you and Mr Wolf are plodding on and getting some of this glorious sunshine. It's really lifted my spirits after a long cold seemingly endless winter..Have you managed to knit that lovely wool you mentioned? I confess I haven't been very proactive recently when it comes to knirring or counted cross stitch. I have told myself this year I will chart and stitch the lovely memorial poem for Terry Pratchett. The Sun goes down upon the Ankh, DD has no idea I intend to do it but I must crack on I've had a frame for years ready for it.I hope your doggie courses are going well and you'll welcome more guests to your home.Take carepollyxxETA Thank vou for the cookie advice. Didn't you once have a furry guest caled Cookie? It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

thankfully the van has a very good shower so we don't have to do any sharing toilet/shower blocks. so can avoid big commercial sites.

It sounds wonderful burtha Lindisfarne and then the Kelpies. I know many people happy to hop on a plane to some overcrowded beach who have no idea of the beauty of the British Isles. I have many lovely memories from over the years except the "Luxury Caravan Site" I could never forget that.I'm glad things are civilised for you both . No rusting manky buckets involved.Make the most of it. The weather is supposed to be on the turn but sunny or cold I'm sure you'll make the most of this break from the everday. It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

nanywindow, I'm still around, sadly. I'd really love to be a tall but nature (the rotten b*tch) has decreed that short and around is my lot.
I've been looking after my 95 year old toyboy who has been in hospital and now languishing in a wonderful home at huge expense. He has recently been taken off all medication and put on end of life care, but no one seems to have informed him what is expected of him. Bless his heart, he is asleep most of the time but occasionally condescends to wake up when I visit.
I, on the other hand am trying to empty his flat (hollow laughter) which is up to flights of steep stairs and looks as though it is auditioning for an episode of ' hoarders'. I should have my head examined.
Perhaps not.
zolabuddy, welcome to the fence. There's plenty of room if we all budge up a bit. It may take you a while to sort us all out and its up to you if you feel it's worth the effort.
I can't discuss technical issues with you I'm afraid. When Windows7 bit the dust, I lost the plot. When I have time and nothing better to do, I will type out, painfully, with one finger and a lot of swearing, a very amusing bit about computers that I came across the other day. Well, I found it amusing.
Oh. And by the way. I did NOT steal the hot waiter. He was very tired after the last party we had and gratefully accepted my offer of a lodging for the night. He is very comfortable in my wardrobe and has all his needs attended to.
Some of you need to have your thoughts washed out.
I'm beginning to see how Ming feels.I believe that friends are quiet angels
