Happy Birthday for tomorrow Florence. It's a pity we no longer seem to have the cake Emoji.I'm hoping the boys will do their thing tomorrow and get the 3 points.I really thought CR7 would go to city but when I saw his tweet in his No 7 Man U shirt and This ones for you Sir Alex I knew he was coming home. Lets hope he proves to be the missing link.Hope the sun shines for your Fayre tomorrow and there's a good amount of customers for your makes.I don't think I ever commented on your oblong Lavender bags. I've made many over the years. I grow a lot of Lavender. I've made square and heart shaped but never thought of oblong. Our local council are taking a number of the Afghan refugees and have appealed for anything useful clothes, shoes , household items , bedding etc anything at all to make some sort of home.I can't imagine how it must be to be running for your life and often leaving loved ones behind.I'm sorting things out here as many others are. I don't need so much bedding, curtains clothes etc.I did think of little things that make a home. Ornaments, Mirrors etc. It has made me think of Lavender Bags. not one of lifes essentialls but each time I open a drawer or cupboard I get that calming scent . it wont wipe out the horrors but I hope little things will help towards starting again in a foreign land.I've remembered I have some lovely Ecoprint cotton fabric with a pattern of Lavender sprigs so will make some oblong bags like yours.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.9 -
Florenceem - Happy Birthday. I love your crafts. The shawls you make are just wonderful - especially the rainbow colored one, and the little angel is great. Good luck on your sale.9

I still have some Ming, if you don't mind giving me your address ( I won't be offended if you don't want to). Over seven years old but been kept in a jute bag for life and still strong.
Florenceem have a lovely birthday and I hope you make pots of money for all your hard work.

I've got tons MN, but that was kind thanks xx I just fancied doing my own, as in the last house my lavender was always skinny and poor looking. Down here its bigger and greener and healthier and I just thought it would be something to do..

Florenceem Happy birthday 🎂 and I hope your sales are many. I used to make and sell hm crafts at craft fayres along with my friend many years ago when our children were in Junior School. I made all the items that needed the sewing machine and also some small straw hats filled with lavender, they went down very well and I would customise them with coloured ribbons/bows. I also made some jewelry to add into our mix of items, whereas my friend who was the artistic type made weird and wonderful things by hand. She was a fantastic painter too and would paint anything from murals to wall hangings to car bonnets.....wish I had more artistic flare like her. I love your hair bows btw, wish I'd thought of that !!Ming I used to dry my lavender tied in a bunch in an old net curtain and then hang it in the airing cupboard.Polly After years of having a lavender "hedge" ( about 20ft long ) I dug it up because it was becoming straggly plus the DGC didn't like passing it as it was always full of bees. So this year I've bought myself a new plant to go in a new border, perhaps next year I will be able to start making bags again. There's nothing nicer than opening a drawer/wardrobe to the scent of lavender.Take care allnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8

I've really missed you all the last week as my Kindle has become unchargeable so dead, writing this on little bitty mob phone (ggrrrr, so irritating!)
Talking of lavender 💜 is making me smell it somehow. We also had a lavender hedge which got too straggly, I'm replacing it with pot lavenders in our sitting area, got a pink and a pale blue so far.
I hope SA sale is going well, and birthday too! I love the roses, I want to make some poppies for November town decorations so will need a pattern, hoping to 'borrow ' DHs laptop and search on Ravelry for something.7 -
