Evening Fencers.
We moved again today, four locks and two swing bridges and we finally have Wi-Fi, woohoo.
We treated ourselves to fish and chips, Steve is in a foul mood, I think I'll listen to an audio book and drown out his moaning.Chin up, Titus out.10 -

Here are today's bakes - of course we had to taste test.
I used to make these with different colour icing for my children. Always had a full cake tin of home baked items when they came home from school - I couldn't afford to buy from shops.

Florenceem, you should be proud of making home made cakes, They can be far superior to anything shop bought and have better quality ingredients. Never, ever, regret not being able to afford shop cakes. Home made cakes always have an extra ingredient - love.

Busy day today. Into town early to buy a new rail card, back home, then lunch at the local coffee shop with my friend. DD bought us a voucher for afternoon tea as a thank you for helping with her garden, so we used it today for our lunch. Telephone appointment for Dad with one of his consultants mid afternoon, home for light tea then out shopping with DD at 6pm and home 9ish. Having a cuppa then a bit of knitting, then I'll be ready to go to bed.
Some days just don't have enough hours in them!
Yummy looking iced buns, @Florenceem.2026 Fashion on the ration

Nargleblast - I agree that home made cakes have that extra ingredient. We did a taste test yesterday morning - then I took the remaining 10 iced buns round to the SA for the volunteers to have while doing food bank.
MrsCD - thanks. I had a night off baking yesterday. I am making pizza for dinner tonight and will do a tray bake to fill the oven. I got some pink food colouring in Al.. yesterday so plan to do a vanilla mix with coloured icing + sprinkles.
I was so tired last night then I had a disturbed night with dreams.7 -
Where is everyone?
I am just emptying and cleaning shelves in my food cupboard - long needed job. My cupboard has 6 shelves - I will only do 3 today - the others can wait for Monday.4
