Could somebody give me a quick polish please.
Morning all - fabulous thought for the day, Monna. Isn't fabulous a fabulous word?
Builder is still here - thank god we didn't attempt this work ourselves, it'd still be going on at christmas. Plus the cost of the ensuing divorce that would have occurred of course 😉 Our downstairs loo is starting to look like someone else's now though.
It seems i've run out of excuses not to do the ironing...

Mrs CD having not grown up in the UK I don't actually know much about school cake, it looks like what Americans would call birthday cake (yellow cake with sprinkles) but baked as a sheet cake--sounds lush!
I have today and tomorrow off so I'm trying to decide what to do with myself. Having seen the forecast I'm thinking garden today and maybe jam making at the weekend. I was working last night so didn't get my post work strawberry picking session in so that's one thing to start with. A nice lady on our local gardening facebook page has offered me some roots or cuttings from one of her plants. I said I could walk over to collect if she's free today so if she is I may do that. Apart from that, I think I have a day of pottering, one of my favourite ways to spend a day.

P.S. Mar, I suppose you'll put the shed next to the trench? You're going to run out of space to lay patio soon.10

LameWolf - 2 Jack Russells.
MrsCD - Island Lace Scarf on Fibre Flux YT channel.
pollyanna_26 - my eldest DD is 52. The bricks weren't on a bombsite but just in my friend's garden - I lived in a prefab and she was in a bungalow which backed onto the council estate. I don't remember bomb sites but there must have been some as my town was heavily bombed.
Another day - another make for the SA fund raising craft fair. Just ignore the bags of yarn littering my craft room.
