Just giving a wave and a hug today. I've written four posts already this morning and lost three of them.

    I need coffee.

    Hello :waves:

I apologise for my tardiness in not acknowledging all the support, hugs, thoughts and candles lit for me sooner. Thank you all. :) x

I'm not fussed about the colour of the candle as I must admit to being a lover of candles of any colour, shape or size :D

I have been catching up with posts this morning and want to return some hugs to those in need.

I'm getting there slowly and your support is very comforting.

    Take care all x

Thank you for the Kitchener stitch help. Sock one is off the needles. I faced my nemesis and just did it and although I haven't got a nice neat invisible stitch I do have a fully functioning hand knitted sock of which I am proud. :D

Picture of fish - find a cracker online and photograph it. The only problem would be the pixelated lines that show up when photographing the screen but honestly, school demands drive me potty. I adore the fish counter idea. :D

Kitchen floor lighting? I can't think of anything worse! *Wanders off to sweep the crumbs up off the kitchen floor.
  • Hester I have to say I find your ex Mother-in-Law even odder than her son. I wonder what my ex mother in law was like she was already dead when I met him.

  • Morning all,

    Special hugs to Karcher.

Things have been mad. I've been away for work for the past week and term starts this week and teaching next so I imagine I'll become scarce again.

NM--you have my sympathy on estate agents. Anything with synthetic scent or even an empty property with the windows left open screams damp to me.

Well after a week of madness I want to finish work early today and get in a quiet walk before tea time. I have no idea what is for tea as OH did the menu/shop, but I have leftover courgette lasagna for lunch (completely cumin free I might add!)

Hugs to all who need them.

Burtha stoppit - yer tiring me out reading about your days! I've been one step up from a coma the last 2 days and starting to feel guilty about how little I've done.

Please don't feel guilty mar - you do as much as you're able to, after all :)

Well done to your DS re scoring, burtha. :T

Well done on the sock, fuddle :j I used to knit but have never attempted socks.

FPk :D about the cumin (or lack of)! Wishing you a good term.

nursemaggie I hope you find just the right new home very soon indeed. Our neighbours brought some friends back from the pub just after midnight on Saturday night, and watched foreign football with the commentary on at full blast until 5 a.m. DS decided to go out to get away from it, and got home at about 0400, so that's how I know they were there until 0500. I had eventually found some earplugs, and OH had no problems getting to sleep because of his meds!

Mar: no one is giving out medals for a muchness of activity. However, I also have a Greek chorus of tutters and tongue clickers at my lack of housewifely achievments lurking in the back of my mind, so by rights I should be feeling guilty as well.
Mercifully my guilty bone has gone AWOL so I will revel in my laziness.

burtha:: well done that man for the goal. Now for goodness sake woman, take time to breathe. You are so organised n advanced that I bet you are up to Thursday already.

fuddle: I once knitted my father a pair of socks. The plasters on his blisters bore evidence of the fact that he nobly wore them for a whole day. I decided that the sweat, toil, blood and tears weren't worth the trouble. Dad was much relieved.

Today I met a friend for lunch and we talked solidly for 5 hours then returned home to gargle and rest our vocal chords.

Now back to my emails which seem to have frozen. Nothing will make them respond. I'm about to resort to threats of physical violence.
