burtha, how long is it since we were allowed to make wild plans for anything? I've almost forgotten what a wild plan is.
You must be looking forward to next weekend. That 3 months seems to have flown. Or perhaps it has dragged for you.
My wild plans for today are the usual trot down to the Village Shop for the newspaper and brain exercising day with the puzzles therein.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY

not sure if it's flown or not , hated the first month , got on with the rest of it ,now I'm being optimistic that things will go plan , quarantine will be done and somehow a life can begin again... I'm hoping that my youngest ds will be able to have all his brothers and sisters plus their kids around for his 18 at the end of June, even if we all meet up in a field and have to be in family small groups social distance away from each other . really want my kids back together, the last year has been hard for everyone , we didn't do the extended bubble at Christmas, I've always felt like I was the one who was more at risk of spreading it without knowing so my kids are not going to be more at risk by me .
hey ho....
so no wild weekend plans , maybe I'll finish of the table and clean then ....
I can hear kids playing outside in the estate... it's nice ... hopeful
coffe first then a run

Having 6 children - I was a stay at home Mum - always got volunteered by my children to help at school Christmas parties. The amount of jelly that I have scraped off classroom floors!
I received 4 Mothering Sunday cards - for the day - 2 arrived on Monday. We are having lots of delays with the post here.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering Target - 2024 - 3,129 May - 132/190

Florenceem, I am in awe. Your work looks so professional, how do you do it? I'm afraid that my things definitely bear the 'home made' look. It's like cooking. The things I make taste OK but the presentation leaves a lot to be desired.I believe that friends are quiet angels

God gives us talents so we should use them to benefit others. I taught myself to crochet years ago from a book. I can only do basic crochet - nothing fancy. A lady in her 90s has the blanket and her Daughter said that she loves it so job done.
I just love to craft.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering Target - 2024 - 3,129 May - 132/190

Well Florenceem, you certainly use your talents wisely.
I can knit, have been knitting for 77 years, starting with dishcloths at the age of 5, but I fall short of my mother's standards. She knitted for an export firm. Only a couple of years ago I unearthed some labels that she had to sew into her items, 'Hand knitted in England.'
My family were expert needlewomen too. Starting with Grandmother who was trained as a tailoress in Victorian times and with a mother and aunt who who could certainly hold their own. I must have been the best dressed child in the city. I can sew, used to make all my own clothes with a Singer hand machine on the floor. I even made a matching coat and skirt, lined but edge-to-edge, I drew the line at buttonholes. I hated sewing though.
Ah well, these days I just knit for church sales and charity. I don't think I have any other talents, apart from talking. I can do that without any trouble.
THOUGHT FOR SUNDAY
Not being able to understand God is frustrating, but it is ridiculous for us to think we have the right to limit God to something we are capable of understanding.

My mother was a brilliant needlewoman.Whenever I met anyone who had been at school with her they used to remember being shown samples of her sewing . My grandmother was good too. Apparently Mum was the best dressed child in the village during the war Grandma would cut down old clothes to make clothes for Mum. I hated sewing at school but the needlework teacher had been at school with Mum and rarely inspected my work too closely as she assumed I could sew. I gave it up as soon as possible .
My youngest DD has taken up dressmaking during lockdown and is now talking about making her own jeans!10 -
monnagran - love the thought for the day.
There were no needlewomen in my family so I definitely have a God given talent.
Sunny here at the sea side.
Had a socially distanced visit at the door from youngest Daughter - she had already done 12000 steps today - I was in pjs - still am.
Been working on the poncho while watching a Church service - leaving the sermon for later when we are sitting down for dinner.
Better go and get dressed.
