I just spent 2 hours on Amazon. I got fed up of looking at dried fruit and nuts, contained grains and seeds to. Lot of exotic stuff at horrendous prices but did order a couple of things and did get my rolled oats. From looking at supermarkets mostly junk and processed food. Fruit and very thin on the ground. Can't get dark green leafy veg and salad is iceberg lettuce, have seen that described as just water, no food value. I needed the dark green leaves for the calcium and iron. Looks like I will have to continue to eat a little meat and not go fully vegan until things are back to normal. I was feeling so much better on it. Will have to stay off dairy discovered I have a sensitivity to milk. They are only allowing 3 cartons of the milk substitutes and cannot deliver for two weeks. Will not last me for two weeks.DS phoned about 5pm, he works in Ald* warehouse, he said they only have 18 of them in his department, normal is 32, All the others are off because they have an underlying condition, someone in the house has Covid 19 or they may have covid 19. They are trowing away the veg we can't get because they can't get enough drivers to deliver them. We ought to be eating only fresh food to keep our strength up in case we get covid 19.7

I forgot I have all my bendy carrots in a big veg casserole along with all my other bendy veg. I also have another big casserole in the oven with potatoes, sweet potatoes, and parsnips to make more mash. I do have some other frozen veg until I get other things. Casserole will probably do me three meals. Has a tin of red kidney beans in it two. I may add some lentils to it when I freeze it. Nothing is going to waste.

Just a heads up for anyone who used to read the Malory Towers books as a child, and who would like a bit of nostalgia-wallowing.......
....on CBBC, 5.30pm, new series from Easter Monday, “Malory Towers”.
Hopefully, they will do series about all the books!
It got a good write-up in the Radio Times.
I’ll be intrigued to see if they feature the rock pool swimming pool, which always captured my imagination as a child!(I just lurve spiders!)

morning all ,
cake recipe sounds good will give that I try later on , may do it before we attack the garden again . managed go move about 3 ton of gravel yesterday from the back of the house to the front after we dug that out , whole group activity lol since there is 4 willing 17 / 18 years old here for the duration 😁 ,wasn't a bad thing to do after I finished work , allways a bit stressed these day.
all the fruit and veg sounds wonderful, thankfully I managed to get a reasonable shop done yesterday too , so kids won't starve for a bit longer .. I put them in charge of meal plans and cooking , each pair has a turn on a Rota basis .im doing weekends . plus they have to bake something every couple of days, it's keeping them focused .
