Was a long tiring day but we came away very impressed with the hospital - a million miles away from the shambles of our local one. They do 20 bypass ops a week on people from the whole of Scotland, people travel down from way up north for it. I'm a bit demented today must be the ME lag. Currently running around Amazon buying loose fitting clothes and wedge pillows, then waiting for the Social Work to phone back re the loan of a shower chair.
I need extra jelly babies :D:D

    Mar,
If you become unstuck, the Red Cross will possibly be able to loan you equipment. Good luck to your OH with his op.
  • It sounds as though the RV will be in the best possible hands for his OP Mar. your local council and social care dept sound very proactive. If you haven't thought of it an overbed table on wheels could be very handy during recovery. Social care or the red cross will lend one.

A million virtual jelly babies heading your way- It's the thought that counts :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Try to get some sleep tonight, you need to look after yourself too.

Mar - how is the RV? Hope you are both doing OK.

I've been to Belfast - what a fabulous, underrated city it is. So much to see and do. Definitely going back.
