Nargle, I don't find things make very good cleaning cloths!

Blimmin autocorrect - thongs make good cheesewire though... :rotfl:

Morning all - nice to see this thread on page 1 again. I've a day of typing planned plus a trip on the motorway with DD this evening as she has never driven on the motorway at night before and needs to in a couple of weeks.

Had a friend and his dog round for dinner last night, which was nice. His partner has gone a bit AWOL (she has mental health issues) and he is deeply concerned but powerless, as she is texting she isn't technically 'missing'. The dog was funny, when it was time to go she stood at the door, realised (I think) that it was cold and dashed back inside and hid :rotfl:

DS has been here for the weekend, which was nice. He's been having some mental health issues, but seems a bit more stable right now...

    Have a nice day, all

Ah, thongs makes more sense! They would be good for scraping that black gunge out from behind your taps, though. Or is it just slatterns like me who have black stuff develop behind their taps?

Tch (or alternatively, Tut!) - is anyone else as fed up as I am with the extra washing up engendered by recycling? :(

VJS I so hope your missing friend is found soon x

Recycling does my head in. A lot of the time I throw stuff in the fire, because that's what I've done for 60 years. LOL!

    UPDATE!

She has! Amazingly our friend (the partner) came here for dinner last night and has just texted to say that, when he got back, sometime after midnight, she was there!! Not sure of the details, (she may have run out of money) but is back and safe though I think they will have some 'stuff' to work through.

Am making a veggie soup to have for tea with the blackberry and apple pud OH made for last night and some was left over. Have been a bit unable to concentrate on work today :(

I'm pleased to read your friend 'has been found' VJs. The situation has gone on for too long. All safe and sound but some very shredded nerves no doubt.

VJsmum Thank goodness she's ok! I hope she and her partner find a way through this.

  • Nargle I'm definitely a slattern, housework is boring, I'd rather be knitting or sewing, in fact I'd rather watch paint dry!

So glad to hear the missing partner turned up, it's a worry when you can't track people down.
