Here in Canada, we get a load of US advertising. When drugs are advertised on TV, the list of side effects are scary. Pretty much every one lists death! Yet, all show fit, happy, smiling people being active!

Hi all,
Feels like I've not been here for ages , hope everyone is ok , speed read the last mths worth of posts to catch up ...
I've been a bit busy lately, moved house weekend before Christmas, old house not sold , but I now don't care ... have had a lot of viewings this last week ... This house is not realy were I want to be but it has heating and hot water ,so living the dream ...
Simple stuff ...
Kids are getting there , so much easier in here , the old house was a drain, I knew it was bad but the first two weeks in here were very odd , I'm still not normal ,just makes you realise how the constant cold and presure to cut logs , cope with kids in breakdowns ,work and try to build a life were so hard .
Been at the old house everyday , moving stuff ,sorting stuff ... kids refused after they moved all the stuff they wanted ,it was so cold . Can't say I blame them .
So I'm getting there , house is almost empty... 3mw has done nothing , seen the kids 3 times since oct, his loss
Divorce is almost agreed ,hopefully ... so fingers crossed by easter I'm free
Dating again , this one seams ok ....watch this space
Promise I'm back soon , this has been a strange 19 month

Well I guess the side effect of not taking a lot of drugs would also be death!

burtha, I am so happy to hear from you. You would be surprised at how much folk here care about you.
Well done on biting the bullet and moving out of that energy and finance draining house. If nothing else, you are warm and more comfortable and can draw a line under the past. It sounds as though the kids have already done that.
3mw can now take a running jump.

Enjoy getting out and about back on the dating scene. Take your time petal, no jumping from the frying pan into the fire. I'm sure you will be sensible, once bitten, twice shy as the saying goes. But have some fun now, you are overdue for it.

Burtha - lovely to read your post and so pleased you and your family are snug and warm. Have thought about you frequently and hoped things were moving on for you all. I do wish you all the very best for 2019 especially after the horrendous times you have endured. Hugs xx

burtha It's wonderful to come home on a freezing ,foggy and very cold day and read your news . I'm so glad you moved in for Christmas . So many of us have been wishing warmth and peace of mind for you and the 2 youngest and here you are . It's been quite a journey but you stuck with it . You sound so much better already and once the legal stuff is sorted the freedom will be worth it .


I too wish you and yours a happy and positive year . Take things easy but enjoy the freedom and time to be you . I doubt you'll be fooled again but as Monna said take it slow .As for 3mw once the dust has settled you'll thank your lucky stars you have the new life to look forward to. Freedom to make your own decisions is priceless .

Oh burtha, I suddenly thought of you earlier today and wondered how you were, came on here to ask you in hopes you were reading along, and here you were, and in a warm house with hot water! I'm so glad you've managed to move,and before Christmas too. It must indeed feel very strange at the moment! xx
