Three meet'n'greet visits done last week (that's where we invite the owners of new doggie clients over, with their dogs, so that we can meet, have a chat about the dogs' routine and needs, and generally ensure we're all happy for me to look after the dogs) and I've got three definite bookings out of it. Not bad going! So we'll be having 1) an elderly Bearded Collie and her Cockerpoo Puppy companion, 2) two [STRIKE]snowballs[/STRIKE] Bichon Frise, and 3) a beautiful big black'n'tan crossbreed rescue dog staying with us at various times.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

It looks as though you are going to be busy LW. What is so lovely is the number of return visitors you have. It must be reassuring for the owners to know that they can enjoy their own time away without theworry that their dogs might be pining.

Nothing much happening around here except that the pile of filled boxes is growing and we still don't have a definite date for exchange of contracts. The solicitors don't seem to share our sense of urgency.

    Hi everyone.

There is a strong rumour that we are due to exchange contracts next Friday and complete and move Feb 7th. I did promise my buyers that if necessary I would put my stuff into store and stay with a friend if I hadn't found anywhere. Since I have found somewhere and filled in the usual 101 forms, I felt that 5 months down the line I would be able to move in, but now the seller has pulled out of the purchase of the house he was buying and has changed his mind about moving into his motor home to let my purchase take place. His estate agent has persuaded him not to go back on his word but I'm a bit apprehensive. I may join the ranks of the homeless.

No not really, I have too many friends for that to happen but I really don't want to have to move twice.

Sorry , this sounds like a me, me, me post.

I'll try to do better next time.

  • Monna you are not "me,me,me" You've shown patience and fortitude since you first put your house on the market and the different viewers and endless presenting the property for each viewing .

Of course you may have been silently cursing along the way. I think I would have by now .I shall renew the candle lighting , cross everything and keep sending the positive vibes that things will progress as hoped .. We can always get Mar into a ratty mood and send her down to tackle the man holding things up . She could introduce him to her freezer but she'll have to provide her own transport both ways as she's not allowed a heffalump or any possibly edible thing . I'm sure if she puts her thermal blooomers and other suitable clothing on you can reroute the ferry to Scotland .

Hope the Nargles are ok ,also burtha and those troubled or ill .

    Take care fencers

There but for fortune go you and I.

    Dang. My post disappeared.

Short version. How in hades, Monnagram, can he back out of selling his house once he's agreed to?

Here it's illegal with penalties. You settle on a price, a possession date, usually a home inspection as the final step. Deal done.

May you find a warm and cosy house at a good price. May the !!!!! of a seller be stuck there forever.

Oh wondercollie, that's so much better than the system in England! It's different in Scotland, I don't know about Wales though.

Monna sending you a big hug. I have a spare room if you need it.

Ivyleaf the system is the same here in Wales, as in England

Ah, thanks, nannywindow.. I thought it probably was, but didn't know if it was something that had been devolved and replaced with a more sensible system :)
