For yesterday,
Woke early but lay in bed reading for an hour or so.
Small green shoots on a lot of my salad crops and the Montana clematis has budded up in the last few days.
Lunch in the garden, under the parasol as so warm.
Had this playing in the background all day https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000hkwy
I have a man who is seriously missing his sport and the county season was meant to be starting this weekend. The last few overs were no less exciting for already knowing the result!
Tea was snorkers with mushroom rice, very tasty. We then had a few games of Yahtzee.

Yesterday - or maybe the day before. Who knows?
Painted my toenails ( No, I don't know why either. Got to keep standards up though!) and fished out my flip flops so as not to smudge them. Have decided that schlepping about in flip flops is the sound of summer.
More glorious weather. Spending as long as possible outside as we know it can't last. Have washed everything in the house that's not nailed down.
Another lucky dip greengrocer delivery. Think I have enough swede now, thank you! But love the mango and pineapple so mustn't grumble. Can you freeze swede? Will Google.
So much to be grateful for. Many hugs going out to those less fortunate.
Happy 🌞 Easter Sunday everyone🐰

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
A lovely clean living room. I took me a while as I washed the curtains, and the vertical blinds from the french windows but it was worth the effort. I'm still playing catch up with the bigger house cleaning jobs like blinds....
I found the bolts to fasten the canopy onto the garden swing seat. It's the HT's and the cat's favourite garden seat. The cat knows how to jump on it to make it swing which is funny when you're indoors and look out to see the cat swinging on her own.
Afternoon tea break sat at the garden table with HT and the cat. It was warm and sunny and the garden is tidy for now.
Home made mozzarella and pepperoni pizza for dinner. I was careful with the chilli tomato puree on mine this time and it was just right.
A couple of hours crochet - back to project 3 now that all the baby blankets are finished.11 -
Pleasures so far today.
Group chat with 2 of my 3 DDs, so lovely to see their faces again. Other DD is working today (emergency services) but spoke to her last night and she is tired but thankfully well.
Not quite as sunny here today, so mowed the lawns and jet washed the patio.
Another one whose OH is missing his sport so he is currently watching a very old football match.....the hairstyles and very short shorts keeping me amused.
Very grateful that we have got food supplies and will be cooking a roast chicken dinner to enjoy later today. One of the pooches tore his dew claw a few days ago and I was dreading it getting infected as I think the vets are currently emergency only, so have been spraying with animal antiseptic spray. However, this morning he had chewed / licked it off and it looks as good as new and isn’t bothering him at all now....very relieved.
hope you all have a Happy Easter Sunday.Well Behaved women seldom make history

There, I nose, not bin inn the parish for a day or so, but I is inn today! Photo is BoP in Philadelphia in 2017. Went to ring their bell! Whirlwind trip that one and was well fantastic!
Oh, we has lots Stirling, Tim and The Cat! Mind you, Bonetti was useless in Leon June 14 1970!
It is so, and that is it!

Finished washing the orangary at BoP Pad, it tooks mes three days. I could has done it in an hour, but, things needed dragging out. Neighbore is bored, he was doing our front yesterday as he had run out of his yard!
Had a Good FryDay, with fish fingers and chips and has bins for supper. Well, I is like the reversion foods. Last nite BoP did some has bin chili for dinner, with tinned toms. Then we watched a movie of the flexbox channels. Ghost Town! Recommended by BoP! Wobbleades were wolfed down.
Raffles has been very active inn his territory, BoPsie has lost count on his hunting skills!
Tonite BoP is making Mince, with tatties and carrots! With cheesed off dumplings and pan gravy. Onions will also be served up! Does not knows weather to do some pud of xmas to go withy it. Mmm, well He has risen, so ….

Hello. I hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter, it’s been bright but cool here today so spent most of day inside with a couple of driveway chatters.Doggy has had his Easter bonnet off for most of the day and has surprisingly stayed away from his feet. Will be back on for bedtime though. It’s been a nice day of family time. I know I’m fortunate that they are all here with me and if the current situation was different they’d all have been elsewhere!Enjoyed most of the online church service and then the niecelys turned up toot toot, chatted for about 10 minutes ( about all that was left of service)
Made rather lovely scones ( even if i do say so)
Had a very nice lunch of BLT, nachos, scones, brownies.Judged the best decorated egg...it was a tough one but DD2 won for the first time. DD1 was a very sore loser. She did not take the news well! Then it was the Easter hunt and by a resounding victory DD2 won that!Sorted out all the recycling. We won’t get a collection till goodness knows when! Waaaah. Chatted to neighbours as they walked by.
A quiet afternoon and then made chicken wrapped in soft cheese and bacon, baby potatoes, carrots, peas and cabbage. Pudding was Easter eggs for those that wanted. We all got each other an egg /chocolate which was nice. A first!10 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Up early to set up Easter egg hunt around the house. Then had another hour of sleep!
2) Allotment and hen OK.
3) Did my first Zoom "meeting" at midday with my siblings.
4) Finally did a rainbow picture which is now in the window.
5) Lovely tea of muntjac (dispatched and butchered by my brother) as fried steaks with potato wedges and PSB. Did a casserole of muntjac with left over cubes and we will have that tomorrow.
6) Lots of games of badminton which smaller son joined in with.
7) Smaller son asked me to cut his hair (!) Like bigger son, he has at least 5 times the amount of hair that is necessary - very thick. Unlike bigger son and me, his hair has the tiniest amount of wave in it so it is much more forgiving to cut. A short back and sides and we were both really pleased with it. About 4cm off.
Very sad news about Tim Brooke-Taylor. Also Sterling Moss, who smaller son had met and said hello to at the racing locally.

Bop, I miss read your post as you were making mice and carrots, wow raffles has been working hard..
Sad news about everyone today, its hard to know where to start but particularly Stirling Moss, DH met him and spent time talking with him at a very swish do, and had so many good things to say about him.
1 Nice that DHs mum called, I may have prompted it but glad he’s happier and left her in hysterics after she wanted to hang up to watch the good Karma Sutra hospital… She couldn’t talk for crying with laughter so that’s got to be good.
2 Cooked an Easter roast, it felt very over rated for the work it took.
3 Getting the animals into different habits it’s sweet to see, I was playing football in the garden at midnight with them, all is normal here nothing to see, I am starting to wonder if we are naturally nocturnal creatures.
4 I’ve enjoyed reading, but I need to get around to writing.
5 Line dried washing enjoying the fine weather

Sunday pleasures in no particular order
Sunshine again 😃 but did rain mid afternoon & got noticeably cooler
DH finished the raised bed - 7 small & 1.5 large bags of compost. Now just have to decide what to plant + arrange some kind of netting to stop the squirrels & cats digging up the plants.
several conversations with the same neighbour
Phoned uncle to wish him a Happy 80th Birthday. He has not left his once during the lockdown but he does have a large house & large garden.
Duck & venison from freezer (bought at Christmas) with roasties, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potato & parsnip, carrots & broccoli + duck or venison gravy. Delicious 🤤
2 hours later hm apple & rhubarb crumble & custard - 😋
Two robins & our usual menagerie - foxes, starlings, sparrows, tits, parakeets, magpies, squirrels, butterflies, bumblebees & the ubiquitous pigeons.
