Wow Snowbird, whereabouts in the world are you?

1 The downstairs is now hoovered and mopped.
2 I enjoyed reading Jacks introduction covering the food science.
3 Beautiful weather helps.
4 I may have mucked up todays meds, I took tonight’s meds this morning, and I had a mellow day! It has taught me not to take them on auto pilot!

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday.....
A dry sunny day so I could finish sorting the garden out. Last bit weeded.
The HT coming out to help in the garden (finally). We moved the garden furniture to better places and put weedproof matting and some stones down - I've only had them for a year.
Sitting out in a now tidy garden with a cold (non alcoholic) drink, with cat and the HT. Oh and cake, the HT went indoors and fetched us both some chocolate cake. It was lovely being waited on.
Couple of hours chatting to very tired best friend. He worked until very late the night before setting up a new intensive care unit and he needed a break. I ordered some sweeties to be posted to him from the Easter bunny and they arrived safely.
The thinderstorm and rain last night - the garden needed it, it really did.
Take care all of you and stay safe10 -
I wondered where you are too Snowbird
1. Lots of little jobs done in the garden. I painted a plant holder lime green which looks good in front of the blue shed.
2. Chat with neighbours.
3. Relaxing in the sun and grateful that we have a garden.
4. A walk with DH
5. DH gave me some plants. He had to work briefly and passed tiny local nursery which was selling plants at the front. A tray of 10 plants for £15. More picked trays and money in a jar.
6. All sat in the garden having a drink in the evening and talking.12 -
For yesterday,
A BH treat of smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel for breakfast.
As always, time spent with the beautiful grey one, gave her a groom in her field and she was living her best life sorting through my bucket for carrots and having her human fix all the itchy bits.
Went for a wander around her paddock and saw several pairs of jackdaws come down to quickly pick up the tuffs of grey hair, just imagined all the baby birds being born into a nest of pony hair.
Afternoon tea in the garden, complete with tablecloth and china, making the best of our outdoor space.
Evening walk across the field with beloved and small dog, there is a green blush to everything now. Didn’t see a single other human but loads of wildlife.11 -
Good afternoon folks,
I haven’t posted on here for a while, but it has been a pleasure this morning catching up on everyone’s pleasures.
todays pleasures:
1. So thankful that I have a garden, it’s keeping me sane at the moment.
2. watching the goldfinches on the bird feeder.
3. another couple of chapters of my book finished. It’s called Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardino Evaristo and I’m really enjoying it, so rationing myself to 2 chapters a day.
4. Homemade blueberry muffins and ‘proper’ coffee.
5. Linen bedding washed, line dried and back on the bed. Invested in some 100% linen bedding sets last year and just love them.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Hello. It’s been such a beautiful afternoon here after a very wet start to the day.
i was very lazy during the wet start!Had to go to supermarket for stuff for mum. Biggest queue to get in yet but at least the sun was shining .went to drop stuff off, did dishes, emptied bins, hoovered and did weekly tablet packs. She’s not great and will need to be seen by GP at some point soon. Though not urgently over weekend.
Home! Hello doggy with a big sun catching hat on!Made some Easter brownies and cupcakes ( with a very yummy white chocolate ganache as I didn’t have any icing sugar)
dropped some off at friends house and she handed us a bag back from a suitable distance.Boss dropped off a beautifully decorated cupcake for DD2 and I . Had a chat across the driveway.
Son is making dinner . Tacos...with wait for it ...oven chips!Patio doors are open, sun still shining ( we got to 14o today) birds are singing and chips are cooking! Perfect!12 -

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) One for last night. Smaller son won't go out of the house by himself but had stayed up late playing online with his friend. His friend said he was going for a walk around his village (about 12 miles away) and kept smaller son on the phone so they could both chat as they walked round their villages by themselves!
2) A lie in.
3) Hen OK and planted parsley and lavender plugs.
4) Bigger son started using Strava to record his bike rides again.
5) Bigger son made dal and a spinach dish for tea, with 4 Nepalese friends online giving him instructions! (All slightly different ingredients!)
6) Wrote the Easter egg hunt clues.
