Sorry about bigger son, Frith. That's a blow for him..
Hugs everyone.
I seem to have been a bit remiss in not posting (sure you're all gutted... LOL)
So, for wednesday
1. out for lunch with friends / colleagues. IT was good to see them but will be the last for me until after submission
2. nice to wear my lighter jacket and not wish i'd stuck with the winter coat
3. OH arrived in Slovakia (TBC)
4. Was 'in the zone' and got lots done when I came back from lunch
5. fish and chips for tea - quick and easy to do
And Thursday
1. Good walks to from stations / home / uni
2. Class was ok. Got module feedback forms - as usual I veer from 'boring' to 'brilliant'. Most were positive though which is good and a few bits of constructive feedback that I've taken on the chin... (I could see their point, some was lack of knowledge of systems and some was to vary teaching methods, which is partially due to time constraints that I haven't)
3. DId a bit of shopping for DS's 21st birthday next week. He's having a villa season ticket and a new guitar so there won't be much to open (he hasn't chosen the guitar yet), but got a few bits to bulk it up.
4. Did a first read through of a dissertation I am putting off marking, for some reason. And got work done.
5. OH rang to say that the borders were closed in Slovakia and they were stranded! THey managed to get a taxi to Krakow where they managed to book a flight home. We had to hope Poland didn't close borders overnight.
ANd Yesterday
1. OH made it back but made the right call to come back cos Poland are about to close borders, we believe. (mind he was in a bad mood when he got here that I told him to "Eff off back...":D)
2. Got TONS of work done
3. DS has had a presentation cancelled, which was to be on his birthday and which he was dreading.
4. Cheese and biscuits for tea, and cake that OH bizarrely made. (as in it was bizarre for him to do randomly bake a cake)
5. My magnolia tree is coming into bloom and the daffs are all out.
There - three days and the washing wasn't mentioned once....
Have a good day all...

Ah sorry about your eldest Frith.
For yesterday,
Tackled Mount Ironmore and cleared the basket, distracted myself by watching a Muntjac in the field.
Chat with our post lady who bought a parcel.
Long walk with dog, she was happy to be out in the sunshine and even more so when she sent up a couple of pheasants, she looked so pleased with herself I laughed out loud.
It being light in the kitchen as I started to cook tea.
Clean sheets on the bed and a good book to read.

Recent pleasures
Robin still visiting, goldfinches, ring necked parakeets & Mrs Fox
Still chuffed that I had stocked up with toilet paper (for Brexit 🤭) so not bothered about the barren shelves 😆
Phone call from DB - currently working in Scotland & hoping Germany doesn’t close its borders 😱
Pleasant chat with a couple of neighbours - keeping the 2m distance. One of them is currently unemployed but the silver lining is that he can minimise the risk of contracting the coronavirus.
Not so good result for another neighbour - recently diagnosed with cancer ☹️ but stage 1 & will be treated aggressively - so has an excellent prognosis 😊
Watched the last 2 episodes of The Outsider - weird but wonderful. Need to keep an eye out for the book in the charity shops.
A couple of days of sunshine so the solar light works 😆
Reading everyones pleasures.

Good afternoon all, pleasures for yesterday....
Project four arrived safely at it's destination and my nephew was really pleased with it.
Called next door but one to collect a parcel they'd taken in for me and discovered their baby has been born. Project seven will be a blanket for him.
My sister cancelled her trip to New York. She's fairly philosophical about the whole thing - they'll rebook for later in the year and I can stop worrying that she'll get stuck there now
Work - a few problems but none of them involved me. Everything was sorted out by home time.
Couple of hours spent chatting to best friend whilst playing online game
Take care all of you9 -
Hello. A rubbish sleep ( note to self ...take note of notes to self. Too much caffeine again)

5) dinner with friends. gbf and i had originally declined because we were due to go to the flying dutchman, but the Met had grounded him.
Mr Piano's university has closed and flights are stopping so not sure what he's now planning. Really hoping things become a bit more certain soon. Be safe everyoneMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Communication through FB that our village time bank is stepping up to help our more vulnerable residents, will do what we can.
Again on social media, an Italian resident singing Nessum Dorma to his neighbours.

Art'noon all.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. OH and DS went to one of the few footie matches playing - it was so empty they pretty much self-isolated anyway. 'Their' (adopted) team won 4 - 0 - they aren't used to winning!!
2. As ever, the washing.
3. left over takeaway curry 'smorgasbord' from the freezer
4. OH has agreed we should buy paint for the lounge and conservatory in case we have to self-isolate but are otherwise well. A friend suggested it was a bit drastic of me to introduce COvid-19 jus to get my lounge decorated
5. we all sat in the same room and watched somethingHidden episode 5!
I have just discovered how to do a range of simileys!! colon and a letter -
I wanna be in the room where it happens8
