Ran out of time yesterday morning to post.
1. Pay day and spent time moving money into savings. Need to build up emergency fund again so will have to spend little this month. Quite a lot has been planned and paid for already which is good.
2. Lovely sunrise.
3. Work happened but kept myself to myself.
4. New recipe for tax-free Mexican lasagne and it was good and no complaints that it had no meat in it. Plenty of leftovers for lunch too.
5. DS2 went to a spa day as was his girlfriend birthday. He enjoyed it I think.
On Sunday
1. More painting done and paint ordered to finish it. The room looks much better for it.
2. Spent some time in the garden and the sun felt warm on a couple of occasions.
3. Tea from freezer and it saved a takeaway cost.
4. Watched rugby whilst painting .
5. Seeing pictures on Facebook of a friend having a good time in holiday. He has had a fair amount of I'll health recently so pleased that he looks good and is enjoying himself.

For yesterday,
Another day of heavy rain and strong winds so doubly hard to find pleasures, early trip to the emporium and it was very quiet, picked up a few rtc bits for the freezer.
Making arrangements with DB to meet up.
Watching flocks of starlings and field fares make the most of the waterlogged fields to have a bath.
Watched Uni Challenge and then read my book until bedtime.
Will have to bank the fifth.8 -

Back home after a bit of a convoluted journey (that will be tomorrow's pleasure for today)
Pleasures for yesterday
1. good sleep, been nice to catch it up whilst in ICT - even woke up early and went back off. Also love that first early morning cuppa, even if I have to make it myself as OH wasn't with me... (he usually brings me a cuppa every morning)
2. Turned something of a 'theoretical corner' with the typing. Two articles have opened my eyes to something the thesis has lacked (too empirical, DD, needed more theory - which I knew but didn't know how). Now I have a way forward.
3. Eating up food so I don't have to cart it home - my 20p RTC flatbreads have gone down a treat as cheese toasties with salad. Although my 59p spaghetti with olives and tomatoes was more disappointing as an hour later I'd forgotten i'd eaten it. Was tasty enough but … disappeared
4. A circuit by the sea. THe foam looked like snow on the prom. Actually managed some sunshine to walk in.
5. Watched a new serial - intriguing and on all week.
Take care all - have a good afternoon.
I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
Some pleasures recently
watching the stranger
meeting up with friends
ds getting new job
friend asking me to go to a show with her
treating DH because he's worth itSpend less now, work less later.8 -
A much calmer day but quite cold, so much better than rain!
Met DD1 and baby in the city and went to Bounce and Rhyme in the library.....Oh what fun and baby loves it!
Topped up otc meds and did some necessary shopping in Sainsburys too.
Just in time for the bus back and avoided an hour and a half's wait for the next one.
The piece of lemon cake I had with my cuppa when I got home after 3 this afternoon having had neither breakfast or lunch! really hit the spot!

Woke up to snow but it never lasted despite a few hardy flurries throughout the day. Actually bright now.
Our little robin came down on the grass when H went out first thing. H wasn’t too sure about the white stuff underfoot.
A few soggy and muddy dog walks.Never ending blooming laundry up to date as I’m about to start work again.DD2 kindly dropped off DS parcels at post office after he’d asked me to do it.Then she kindly picked me up two big planters for my new trees. She was looking a bit brighter than she’s been but zonked now.
Lovely lady came and cleaned my sofas. They were rather manky when I saw the water! And rug cleaned too. She was nice and chatty.
Had been asked if I was free for work but I wasn’t really though popped in after sofas cleaned but the biz was over. Awh!Last night friend messaged to show me a table that was for sale ( second hand) I loved it and through much to-ing and fro-ing of messages managed to get it collected and delivered last night . I love it. It’s what I had been looking for, has it’s own character and is pre-owned and pre-loved. It’s just sitting in place at the moment but son will fix the table top onto base when he gets home.Managed ( grrrrr struggled ) to take old table to bits. It can go in garage meantime. I may yacht varnish it and use it as a garden table come summer. I feel no love for that table.Lovely chat with my Australian girl this morning. That’s her all finished up at work before her travels start this weekend.Having chicken for dinner.9 -
Good evening all, pleasures for yesterday
HT went to school without moaning
I didn't have work so I read my book for a bit
My sister called to tell me that her second grandchild had been born so I'm a Great Aunt again
Best friend called and asked did I want to go round for coffee. Spent an hour and a half chatting about this and that as we do. Friend is now fixed - he had final hospital appointment here yesterday morning. I'm really pleased that he's better
Out with HT to other friend's cafe. HT played games (with real people instead of online) and I chatted to friend in between customers and did some of project two9 -
Tuesday pleasures
Two robins in the back garden
Traffic free ride to Ik*a & met DH’s niece & great niece. Spent a very pleasant couple of hours wandering around & chatting
Meatballs in gravy & mash + strawberry tart & Daim cake - very yummy 🤤 & worth the trip 😆
Picked up a few bits including a replacement pair of tongs & a replacement book support stand - the originals are now in the cs bag 😉
Traffic free ride home.
Missed the rain 🥳
Cooked some of the frozen Swedish pancakes - DSis hated them but DH & I quite liked them with lemon juice & maple syrup. DSis is now sulking in her room as I said she needed to cook her own dinner 😛
