pleasures for yesterday
1. lots of sleep, must have needed it.
2. cracking on with work - first, rough draft done of this final chapter. 2nd less rough draft being worked on
3. a circuit by the sea- though twas brisk indeed
4. midwives - though the last 15 minutes or so were tough..
5. lovely dinner of nigella's chicken, bacon and lentil casserole. With loads left for the freezer.
A cheeky 6. lots of RTC in the supermarket - cod in breadcrumbs (in freezer), stir fried veg, and a spaghetti with tomato and olive sauce 'pop and ping' for tonight's tea.
Have a good afternoon / evening here. It's brightened up so a circuit will be necessary this pm
I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
Pleasures today - awake before 0600 (because I ate too close to bedtime yesterday and my gut rebelled) so sat in bed with my lemon and ginger tea, awaiting the sunrise.
The winter wonderland outside, everything is so beautiful with a covering of snow.
The sight of dog running around in the park, she loves snow.
Only half of us turned out for Rock Choir this morning but we had a good old singsong.
Home made sweet potato soup for lunch followed by good coffee.
Cooking up a batch of turkey mince and rice to make meals for dog - add a little veg and a few herbs and spices, it's good for her and I know what's in it.
I am now taking the rest of the day off just because I can. Lounging on the sofa on my IPad, cup of tea, plenty of books to read if I want to, trashy afternoon telly if I want it, safe and warm with a beautiful view through the patio doors of the garden still covered in snow and the sun shining brightly.
One life - your life - live it!13 -
Flapjack from the bakery.
Busy morning in the shop and lots of really pleasant people to deal with.
I fixed the downstairs shower and it's running warm again.
The rain has stopped, this morning was unpleasant.
Found 7 new to me books in the shop which are filed away for rainy days when I get cabin fever.

Good afternoon, pleasures for yesterday....
Ironing all done. I was able to take my time as no work so no rushing to fit in in before I had to leave for my shift.
Tested out some new makeup ready for a night out next Saturday. It has been approved by the HT (both the night out and the makeup)
Mid afternoon cuppa made by the HT
Roast dinner made by me
Online gaming with best friend and then after that some time spent with crochet project number two (I'll keep it as number two even though one has been finished then I can keep count for the year) whilst watching/listening to Elvis on youtube. The HT calls it my dinosaur music13 -
Hello
Rubbish sleep then aaaah it was 8.10am and the poor starving dog hadn’t been out or fed! However he was fed and watered and walked.Pottered around. Hoovered. Cleaned some bathrooms . 1.5 done. 1.5 to do. Laundry.Into town with DD2. She had GP and banking to do and then we went for lunch which was very delicious.Home via vets for flea treatment and worming tablets. ( on monthly plan) and a quick chat about chicken carcass munching. And a ‘ Haggis? Have I seen him before for eating something he shouldn’t?’ Hangs head in shame. Yes. He’s a rascal.Home, quick doggy walk , he was fed and then round to the mothers. Lots of robins flitting in and about me as I walked.Quote for door and window in and less than I had anticipated. So they’ve been given the go ahead.Lovely email from oncology ward charge nurse in Melbourne, we’ve donated more toys and games to the ward in OH memory.Don’t need dinner as we had late lunch so that means it’s an omelette for the boy!12 -
