Yesterday our oldest ferret, who has been through a lot this year was laid to rest. We could see he was getting ready to move on the previous night, so we stayed up with him, and held him close until 5am, when we needed a few hours sleep, we got up at just gone nine and he’d passed with his cage mates wrapped around him. He had an amazing life the best pr ferret we could ever have wished for, he loved people even when he lost his sight you wouldn’t have been able to tell.
1 We laid him to rest in the garden, and near the top we placed about 60 crocus bulbs.
2 Seeing the trees with bud on them.
3 All of the bird feeders cleaned and restocked.
4 A proper clean out of the fridge lots of fresh bits used up in creating a turkey bolognaise sauce, trying to get our diet back on track and nice not to waste food that was on the brink.
5 Meal planning again, nice to be back in control
Back later with todays.

Our morning in the shop today and I unpacked a bag with some next size up babygrows for my little granddaughter, I shall put the money in when I go back on Friday.
Cheesy chips for lunch as we didn't get away at the normal time due to some of the afternoon crew being delayed due to traffic congestion from many flooded roads all around us.
Flying visit from DD1, James and baby as it's half term and they wanted to see us.
Not having to cook this evening as a result of post no 2!
We've just lit the woodstove and as it's a raw old cold day down here that's delightful!

PK - sorry for your loss, I know how you loves them...:'(
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Good walks to and from stations - especially through Regent's park where there were many signs of spring.
2. Got a goodly amount of marking done while waiting for my meeting
3. had craving for tuna salad and it was lush
4. meeting was 'meh' - supervisors are so flipping brutal in their comments that I feel such a dunce - no restructuring but an amount of 'adding in'. progress of sorts
5. autumn veg casserole was rather too 'cauliflowery' but it was ok and it was already made. An evening of tv, mainly 'Hidden'
have a good evening all

Pleasures today.......
Walking into my newly-decorated, newly-carpeted living room this morning. Same space, complete change of decor - complete new atmosphere.
Gentle leisurely drive to the tip in the next village, one of three tip runs planned to get rid of all the old carpet. It is a big room.
Carefully arranging all my books in the bookcase. There are some I really need to read again.
Ecstatic reaction from dog when she realised we were going walkies. She's easy to please.
Supermarket shopping. You can keep your clothes shopping, it's food shopping that I love.
Clean bedlinen on the bed for tonight.
Listening to Runrig on Mistress Alexa, recommended by friends. Lovely, easy listening, evocative music.
A snuggly tabby and white kitten sprawled across my lap.One life - your life - live it!12 -
My day started with a google of ‘can my dog eat chicken bones.’ Then a phone to emergency vet ‘ my dogs eaten a chicken carcass’ . For some reason the boy child never tidied it away last night. So we are on watch & wait. Sigh!Worky day. Very busy and good tips . Bought a fern & a lantern for the garden with tips.Chippy tea.14

Good evening all, pleasures for yesterday...
House cleaned from top to bottom, even better the HT did his own room.
Made brownies for HT and cheese scones for best friend
Best friend came to tea.....we had snorkers from the butcher, yum
Online gaming with best friend and HT while all in the same room. Funny and educational as the HT has more idea of what to do than us so it was like a lesson in gaming. HT is a very patient person and we laughed a lot too
Dropped friend back to his temporary home....came back and had a hot bath as even though I'd only been out for 10 minutes (and that included dropping off completed project one) I was so, so cold
PK sorry to hear about your little friend
mhags I have everything crossed that Haggis is ok.
