50 4, 3, 2, 1 And yous wanted to wander at the stars. And wander why BoP plays with big toys? Kites and all! Well it is! And the note from Bill Safire was never read out! No it was not fake, because Russia at the time would had exploded that myth. How low we had become after taking the moon.
I ponder what excitement and sense of adventure our children get today!

A rocket to the moon? As a child I watched in awe these events and its impact on what I have wanted to do. perhaps the edge of risk is the sweat of our purpose? I listened daily to the Lightning's from Binbrook cracking the sound barrier in a rush to the North Sea.

Not once as a child did I think anything could go wrong, even with Apollo 13 and its safe return! After my uncle smuggled me into RAF Strubby in 1964!

And I still play with big toys!

    On with other BoP bits!

Just read that some B List part actress has found a poor relation in her family tree. Good for her, she’s not the only one! I only has to go back to nana and her rice pudding, which by Thursday has a skin on it you could well chew. Proper food! Well she worked and saw fit! The men, her brothers were educated, and farm managers the like, her younger sister had a child out of wedlock bought up by her mother. Fortunately he was a boy! She was maid to skivvy, yet managed to get her five daughters to school. Mum to college. Without her, mum would not be (wait for it you educationalists and guess what!) a Deputy Headmistress! Spanking eh? There, that B list actress had to go a long way back, I just sit and thinks of chewing rice pudding! And yous thought BoP was against all educationalists! Oh that college, teacher training college. That was after the winter of 47 and she was at the grammar skool. She had to walk a mile and a quarter to get the bus, if it turned up! If it didn’t, another half mile and get the train. And if the bus did not turn up, then she would be late. Punishment was detention and a quick flick of the wrist. I thinks the B List actress would not know what chewy rice pudding is!

Cannot believe I has made a BoP menu error this weak. As BoPsie is in the bum centre tomorrow, I could had pleased myself with a reversion food. I forgets me meatballs on Sundae and even last nite as I made the smoked mackerel kedgeree, and turned some out for me tea tonight, I realised what I could has gets me self. Oh well! Thinks a Bacon and Egg banjo is the order of the day for tomorrow, none of that chewy rice pudding malarkey!

Oh, and probably that is why BoP has decent proper foods. Rice pudding would be done on the range with the Sunday roast, tatties and things. It never saw the refrigerator, just stayed on the range until gone! The dripping tray was given to the yard cats. But you not beat the pastries. And tehre were no bored has beens either! She knew!

And what I sea other beens mentioned. Not proper foods. Avoid. Peas are proper food.

    That’s alls your BoPibits today!

Oh, I don’t thinks me nana was a slave either!

Oh, I see posts on farcecuk about scams are to get another man, or woman if she is one, in the closet to look at to see if they are real. And there’s me this morning looking into the I won big again friend of no one telling me I am going to be a millionaire. Is not that wonderful news for me. I will get the tickets for Nice and lets party! Please all check your pms for further details. Let it work
Oh chief MSE has an anti scam thing for FarceBuck! The other one has bells on it!

    Live the dream BoP isn’t!

Please don’t click on & link. It promises you the earth. See my link further disn

Hello. Just in from work. The main pleasure being my big shift is done for the week and just the teeny tiny ones till next week!

Very busy day with a poor concept of time...it flew at times and lagged at others. But it's done. Reasonable tips then found a pound coin near my car.so that joined the rest in the charity jar!

Quick dog walk then a shower...wash away the day.

We are having spag Bol for tea. The Bol part leftovers from work.

DD1 will be back ( briefly ) from her travels this evening, look forward to hearing about them if i stay awake! ( hence writing this now :))
  • Visit to DD1 to feed the Pushycat who was so very pleased to see me, watered garden and greenhouse, fed and cuddled cat, most enjoyable.

Meet up two fellow MSE'rs which was just so lovely, such nice ladies and also good cake!

It's cooled down a bit after being mega humid for most of the afternoon so is a little comfortable now.

Molly puppy was a very good girl for our first puppy sit and slept most of the time.

Think we're having a takeaway for supper as it's just too warm to cook!

Hey all. I've just caught up on your pleasures since I was last on on Friday.

    Harvesting from the plot.

Coming up with growing ideas within my property.

Harvesting more lavender to dry. This time for soap and shampoo bars in the 6 weeks holidays.

Renewing my love for growing (hope, and believe in tomorrow nearly left me)

A friend directed me to a lovely blog that has been giving me joy these evenings.

My family's palette is changing for the better.

    Evening all :)

    Five recent pleasures:

    1. I'm not sure that we could have got the funeral more lovely for my dad. In planning it, I stuck firmly to his wishes for it to be small, non-religious, simple and unpretentious, with few words but full of the music he loved and had chosen. He'd have enjoyed it greatly.

    2. DSs coming over and giving me a break, lightening the mood, making food etc. Superstars.

    3. Shouting help to my dad's solicitor - seeing him tomorrow.

    4. Finding moments in the worsening time with DM to enjoy each other and laugh together.

    5. Gazing right now out of the big picture window in my parent's flat at completely motionless huge trees, towpath and pink tinted sky - so quiet and peaceful.

    Sweet dreams

    1. Quick hat with a neighbour.

    2. Laughing at lunch time at work. Someone was doing a jellyfish impression. People were crying with laughter.

    3. Started packing for our holiday in Friday. I can't wait.

    4. Laundry baskets empty - only briefly but an achievement.

    5. My Mum phoned and we had a long chat. She wasn't around when I spoke to my Dad the day before.
