    Hello. It's a beautiful evening.

Up early and got up early.

Dog walked, hoovering done. Then drove to nieces. I'm getting better with the drive, I find driving very anxious now but just mentally take it in stages. Much prefer it when I'm out my busy town and then into countryside and then it's the beach!

GN had an extra day off school so we went a wander with baby brother. Taking it in turns to push. It was such a beautiful morning. We face timed Dd1 in Australia.

Then back to theirs , hung out a washing and then off home.

Quick dog walk and some toast for lunch then out to work! Even more done since yesterday. Did about 3 hours.

Then nipped into T and got some potatoes and some RTC flowers and an RTC plant.

Home. Hello dog! So lovely to see you!

Had RTC pies and mash for tea. Cheap and certainly cheerful.

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) So pleased the medical centre was open after the bank holiday and they were able to see bigger son and his exploding knee quickly... He fell off his bike last week and the elbow and knee scrapes had gone very... nasty... so he's on a week's worth of antibiotics and I was taught how to put the various special layers of dressing on properly. He's got to be on the mend before he goes to Nepal - on Saturday!

    3) Did lots of Nepal prep after the doctors. Got our train tickets to Heathrow, he bought a simple phone, portable charger, walking boots.

    4) Salmon for tea.

    5) Watched Holby.

Wow it’s been an age, I’ve popped on but must get back into the habit.

There has been great food, we found a new Chinese takeaway, that did exactly what we asked steamed rice option rather than fried it was delicious. DH loves a places that does a great cheap calzone pizza and we take it away to eat it overlooking the harbour. We splashed out on a pub dinner for DHs birthday it was lovely fresh seafood and delicious overlooking the harbour.

We walked every day around mills, coast, woodlands, the amazing flowers coming into bud, and seas of wild garlic, I did use a couple of the chiese food containers to pick a few boxes I’ll turn into pesto now we are back, we wandered in CS’s in each town as you do.

From the van we could both see the tide and be at the side of it within 20 seconds.

I’m feeling very recharged and positive, I didn’t realise I wasn’t in the first place thou!

We put out our own birdfeeder directly outside the van for bullfinches, goldfinches and all the usual critters, there was also a field mouse having the strawberry heads we threw out.

The animals thrive on the time in the van with us in close proximity and the new to use chap is the happiest I have seen, he bounces up and down on the spot not really knowing what to do with this life. And spends a vast majority of it on his back as life is better that way.

I sat and read a few books Down the rabbit hole was a lovely read and thought provokings, and Good Omens ahead of the Prime series coming out, I discovered a CS lewis set of books on Christianity that were read, and a new to me terry prachett book

Home and then a turn around back out to a steam fair and it was a really lovely weekend catching up with old friends and discovering cherry cider is very tastey. My nephew went out of his way to visit which was really sweet.

Back home, birds back on the feeders, catching up with washing. And it will be a pleasure when I have finished doing company books.

    1. Work good in the morning. I was by myself! Managed to miss bus to main work place for afternoon and had to wait 45 minutes.

    2. Manager and line manager were either i on leave or at another meeting and the person in charge said there was no need for me to go to the meeting and I could get admin done. Great result as my back is so much better as a result. A sensible decision made.

    3. Trees were delivered and look good. We brought then in a local garden centre in a sale.

    4. Ironing done while watching Holby.

    5. Another new recipe tried which I enjoyed but slightly too spicy for DH and DS1.

Hey PK sounds like you’ve had a lovely time.

    Tuesday pleasures,

    Mushrooms on toast for breakfast.

The latest generation of sparrows are making their presence known, three youngsters were swaying precariously on a small branch of the apple tree, beaks open and calling for food.

Big black rain clouds with the sun behind them.

A handwritten sign for asparagus in the village, it had been misspelt to read Aspargurus which make me chuckle as I imagined some wise men sitting cross-legged and welcoming me to a Spar! :rotfl:

Cut up a small melon that I had picked up at the weekend, it was beautifully ripe and perfect for our afters.
  • Cannot believe I is still being chased by the Hunting Gorilla!

Now as I has mentioned yesterday that I has packed me luncheon box with the cakes of Jaffa, today I has a special treat. Victoria Sponge! Yous knows yous wantsum as well! Good for you!

Nows inn the gym tonight withs me beach ready body trimming, then home to the gooners! PM2DD The season is not quite over, come on yous gooooooners! There is another match on SatDay, but who gives a monkey’s flying … Oh, and chicken dippers shall be consumed as well.

Nows as yous knows that BoP is inn the boiler room and this year again he has been given the educationalists casts offs to train up in how to fire the boilers. What BoP can teach in two weaks far exceeds 20 years of bored and chalk.

Well that is it for today.

Watched another flix of net last eve, Badman’s Country. Had Butch Cassidy in t. He lost! Ooops gave away the plot there!

Well, I’ll take the horse back to water then!
  • All the family here yesterday and those Grandpickles are so much fun!

A sparrow hawk in the garden on the lawn, so beautiful, so fierce and lethal, sadly he'd caught lunch which was on the lawn with him too!

HWK continues to recover from his operation and is now able to walk easily around the block with me, every day in every way he's better.

Finding a brand new M&S edge to edge black cardigan in a bag I unpacked at the Charity Shop this morning in my size which for the price of £1 is now in the washing machine awaiting processing.

Role reversal in that DD1 brought us a picking of spinach from her garden as she's inundated with the stuff this year, normally it's us unloading excesses to both the girls.....Ho Hum that's life sometimes isn't it?

DD, how did the coffee date go?

Today felt like a bump down to earth, bad weather, washing everywhere, books to do and bills to sort, but all done just a bit of an un-interesting day.

1 We were invited to more steam fairs, so I’ve updated the calendar and filled in the forms today.:)
2 The books, they are done I may have sworn and drunk several teas, I just have to re check them with a clear head later, I've done them now, heres hoping they are accepted.:D
3 Enjoying reading again, have stacks of books to wander through.
4 2 of our ferrets have come into season which means 2 fold they have that smell people talk of and it’s what makes me allergic, rather than neuter this year for their health reasons I was very pleased when the local place to us said they can jill jab it takes effect in a few days and means they can fully mature to the end of the year and then we can get them neutered. In the meantime all the ferrets are protesting that someone is in season so it’s a pleasant house at the moment!:o
5 Ordered a new “anti allergy” duvet £15 from Silentnight.
6 Just popped to lidl to top up, and greeted home by the animals like a long lost friend. :rotfl:

I'm just in from picking up DD after work...her shift overran by 50 minutes. Grrrr.

    Busy day again.

Woke early tick. Got up early tick! Hurrah!

Was down at allotment for 7.30am...just me and the raindrops! Was bright and dry when I left...shall I need a jacket? Nah! That would be a yes!

Picked loads of rhubarb ...shared it out! Beautiful chive flowers. I love get colour of them. Some lettuce and most of the last of the radishes. A handful of gooseberries. And some oregano.

Got soaked! Walked home. Back for 9.15am.

Made some cupcakes ( was expecting visitors later but they cancelled) and then had a lovely chat with my lovely friend in Australia .

Then did a four hour shift at work. Came out absolutely filthy! Still much to do but looking fab. DD joined in for last hour.

Got home, very quick doggy walk and was just about to make a pavlova when friend texted to say she had been sick so wouldn't come.

    May have dozed....

Sausage rolls for tea....had forgotten to put them in the freezer so baked them.

Watched a bit of telly then had to pick up DD .
