5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

My 5 pleasures for yesterday were;
1) Another long lie in bed - I could get used to this
2) A 2 mile walk to a local garden centre using google maps. It was really hot while walking and I was looking forward to tea and a cake but they had no tea room. Oops - big mistake with my research. So I made do with a can of diet cola. Very cool and less calories.
3) While walking back I saw 3 deer in the fields.
4) Later I sat outside in the sunshine knitting. It was so good feeling the heat from the sun before the long winter months.
5) TV I watched Saturday's Strictly ( I had missed it when I was drooling over Gerard Butler) and then Dr Who. I'm really enjoying Dr Who with the new Dr.
DS and his girlfriend are both off work today so we're going out for the day. No idea where but it's another sunny day xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Sunday pleasures,
Usual routine of bacon butties and Archers omnibus.
Scrubbed out water feature which the birds use to bathe in, switched back on and there was 15 odd sparrows straight on it.
Over to DB’s to celebrate nephews 18th, it was warm enough to sit outside, good to catch up with family and eat cake
Quick walk with dog in twilight, talked about how this time next week it would be dark, reminded us to charge up big torch!
Watched an old episode of HIGNFY with Victoria CM, always funny.0 -
V Cannot believe that the pud and cake are done. Cake came out at just over 6lbs. She is being watered with bourbon and orange. Pud looks good. Did the cake differently again this year and I tell you soon you will think why yous dids not! I grated the butter into the mix. Looks brill. I will feed the cake again tonight.
4 In the packed lunch box this today BoP has Scotch egg, toms, cucumber, cheese, slime jelly and oranges. Orange and a penguin and a club. Tasty. Proper Tasty! Now whys does the oranges in raspberry jelly sink but in slime jelly float!
3 Gym tonight getting ready for the Tea Party coming soon. Eyes peeled for another BoP Tour.
PM2DD Form guide looks good, we’ll take it now!
Having one today. Really missed out on Buckface and some phishing scam promising fortunes unheard of! Still, is marks the gullible easily! Mind you the agency of care has not responded about plastering me with offers of enriched fulfilled employment either! I has said I am able to do weekends and given my rate! Oh, and the poor missing child that was not!

Morning all
Yayyyy Ampersand is back :T
Careful DD that life changing magic is... life changing.:rotfl:
Pleasures for the weekend
1. Lovely catch ups with friends and family - former colleagues on Friday for lunch, followed by friends for dinner and then family do on Saturday to which old friends came
2. Some nice walks to and from the station and a nice drive on Saturday - these autumn colours are really something else
3. Nice food - lunch and dinner on Friday (had a veggie day); family do on Saturday and cooked a shoulder of lamb yesterday
4. Nice afternoon yesterday having a soak in the bath followed by much TV - strangers; and Dr Who mainly whilst finishing off some WIP knitting
5. Some housey chores done - cleaning the (frankly disgusting) bathrooms, oiling garden furniture - OH did the leaf picking this time. And although the bins were full, the lawn didn't look any different.. :rotfl:
Have a good day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

My five for today are;
1) I'm scared to admit to ANOTHER long lie :rotfl:
2) Son and his girlfriend took me to Bournemouth today. It was beautiful- we walked along the promenade and the pier. First time I've been there and I really liked it.
3) Enjoyed eating a Harry Ramsden fish supper on the beach. Warm and sunny. Definitely a day to remember.
4) Watching the Royal Marines doing exercises in the bay. Parachutes falling into the sea and small boats speeding towards them. It was like a James Bond movie.
5) Relaxing evening in front of the tv while knitting.
Only one more day to go then I'm home on Wednesday xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Lost 2lbs.
3) Made the second batch of crab apple jelly - I could do with a jam kettle instead of having to make lots of batches in saucepans.
4) Took my completed work to the district council and that was signed off OK. Made 2 suggestions for ways they could improve the paperwork element then felt like a prat as I never raise any points normally!
5) Took tumble drying to mum and dad's (2nd week with no working tumble dryer and no heat source in the house unless I light the fire).
6) Had a quick attempt at tidying up after tea so everything is organised now.
Going to go out tomorrow, as I haven't really since the summer holidays and I shan't get a son-free minute next week (half term).0 -
