    Good Morning,

You have been busy, while I have been lost in RL :)

    Recents.....

    1. Beautiful skies on the way to work and on the way home.

    2. Thursday group have made Christmas Eve Boxes and taken orders from staff. Very proud.

    3. Finally had my appraisal targets. Feel a bit more secure in my role.

    4. Made Chicken Parmesan for tea.

    5. In work earlier Thursday and Friday, as DS2 didn't need a lift.

    6. Spent the whole of Friday in the DT room. Tinkering and tidying. Still looks a mess! Made Rememberance Cornflowers, 'sand bags' and barbed wire for the Poppy display.......my group of mostly 18 year olds really enjoyed painting the sand bags brown :rotfl:

    7. I was disproportionately cross about the waste of paint when painting the sand bags.......Me: 'There are children starving in Africa, and you are wasting paint!' As I empty paint pots back into the paint bottle........Other Adult in the room: 'I wouldn't feed paint to small children, it wouldn't be good for them'.......:rotfl:

    8. All children out this evening, so sneaked out to Pizza Express for tea. ;)

    9. Kitchen designer came round to measure up. It will probably be too expensive, but nice to dream.:)

DD flying out to next contract tomorrow. Have a lovely day :)

Many happy returns of the day Plumduff

    Friday pleasures,

Early morning ride on pony, very foggy and cold but she was a good girl for her Mum.

Home, quick change and snaffled the tuna roll made by lovely man, will miss this when he is out all day.

Into town of gown for haircut, no longer resemble a member of the hair-bear bunch, Capt S trailed along to get new printer cartridges and surprised me with the new Alison Bruce book.

    Home for coffee and cake.

Enough room left for avocado and black bean nachos, munched whilst watching TOTP 1986 and laughing at shoulder pads with power perms.
  • For Friday -

    1. My 'free day', so had a PJ Day :j!

    2. Beautiful morning, so did 'bedding wash' and got it straight onto the line - lovely sight blowing in the breeze with sun shining on it.

    3. Cooking session - 3 portions of 'Turkey Jalfrezi' for OH and 4 portions of 'Minced Beef and Veg Lasagne' for me :T.

    4. Half of a Gluten Free Pizza (defrosted a couple of days ago) for lunch.

    5. Lovely shower and finally got changed into clean pj's at 3.00pm - what a lazy mare I am .

    6. OH came home via Mr T's whoopsied bread section - 2pks GF Crumpets / GF Artisan Loaf / whoopsied Kettle Crisps. All less than half price :j.

    7. OH had Turkey Jalfrezi for his evening meal and I had a Salad with 'GF Cheese&Onion Crispbake'.

    8. Emmerdale and Coronation Street x2 :T.
  • Dig For Victory,

I had made a focaccia & unusually we didn’t eat it all :D So cut it into pieces, bagged it & froze.

Removed from freezer, tipped onto a baking tray then drizzled with olive oil & cook in a preheated oven at 200C (I put tray just above middle of the oven) Usually takes 15-20 minutes. However I always have a taste test & cook for longer if required. Then add to your soup of choice OR just eat as a snack :rotfl:

HTH youngest with his quest :rotfl:

vjsmum we are meeting up in NYC & then she's back here for a few weeks then back to Oz. that's her home and that's perfectly okay.

Very late night for me . In at 1am. I was driving ( don't drink alcohol...though the others were! ) it was a lovely charity event and I won a lovely l'occitane set in the raffle. Nice to catch up with friends.

Caught up on housework today. Bathrooms now clean. Bedding changed.

Dropped mum off at bus station then nabbed some flowers out her garden!

Friend over for early tea and then I'm watching her daughter whilst she's at work. We are watching Strictly. More lovely flowers.

Had a Cajun chicken and veg with pasta and salad.
  • My five for today are;

    1) Long lie in bed with a cup of tea and slice of toast.

    2) Reading my lovely birthday cards and receiving a lovely present from ds and girlfriend. I left my other pressies at home and will open on my return.

    3) Sitting outside in the sun knitting this afternoon. I couldn't believe how warm it was. The only other time I've sat outside on my birthday is when I've been abroad. Never warm enough at home to sit out.

    4) Phone calls from home including my twin brother who's also feeling his age

    5) Son and his girlfriend took me to the cinema to see the latest Gerard Butler film. I really enjoyed it but I'm not very objective when it comes to Gerard Butler :rotfl:

    Good evening xx

I've never eaten spam. I used to like a corned beef and pickled beetroot sandwich. Which reminds me that my sons have never had corned beef!

    Pleasures for today (Saturday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Managed to get all the washing dried.

    3) Managed to speak to Currys about getting the tumble dryer fixed!

    4) Hens OK.

    5) Smaller son went to the football with his friends. Their first loss (I think) in 11 matches.

    6) More work. 4.5 hours of walking today, no exploding toes but the front of my legs are sore after walking 15.5 hours over 3 days... But I have FINISHED!

    7) Enjoyed watching a bit of Strictly and Casualty.

Urgh spam fritters DD remember them well :o

    Saturday pleasures,

Bit of a lie-in followed by a cinnamon bagel for breakfast, nom.

A nice day so bit of pottering done in the garden, few more bulbs put in and tidying done including sweeping out of the shed.

More tidying but in the house this time, few clothes and books put to one side for recycling.

Evening walk with small dog just as sun was going down, beautiful mackerel sky.

Watched an episode of Mock the Week which was an outtake compilation and very funny.
