Enjoy your hols DD sounds lovely.

Been a busy old day. Woke at 4am as sun was rising. DD1 had messaged me and the ping woke me up...a totally irrelevant text!

Got up after 5am much to Haggis delight, he does love an early breakfast.

Good chit chat with DD1 for an hour or so. She read me the books she's just bought for our new baby in the family. Due later this year.

Washings done and out, floors washed. Bathrooms cleaned. Ironing done. Car washed and hoovered...it couldn't believe it! Plants repotted. Weeds weeded.

Lovely walk with H & his girls this morning. One of the other dog walkers told us there was a young deer up in the field but I'm glad it wasn't there when we arrived. We get lots in the woods but there's a very busy main road between us.

Made a chicken , ginger , garlic & veggie dinner with rice. Had a rummage through freezer today. Use up what I've got. Much odds and sods.

Waiting on architect coming up to see what can be done with my main bathroom. I want ,if possible a bath and separate shower. He seems to think it's doable. If not will say goodbye to my bath. I'm willing to lose my airing cupboard to accomodate this .

It's not been particularly warm but has stayed dry. Never mind rest if the week looks pleasing :)

    A very busy day today!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Admin - accounts, phone calls, paying for septic tank emptying, booked a podiatrist appointment for bigger son (hope they are feeling tough - he's got a bit of everything down there!)

    3) Samantha hen OK.

    4) Took bigger son to college to sign something to complete. Popped round the charity shops while out that way.

    5) Sainsburys.

    6) Bigger son took up more of the remaining concrete from the old porch.

    7) Dropped a letter at the neighbour's asking for the enormous tree to be taken down. Probably the 10th time I have asked (over 10 years) and it is now well over twice the size of my house, 30cm from the boundary and with its branches nearly touching my windows. No reply or word from them - no more than I would expect...

    8) Made chicken burritos for tea and also cooked a Thai curry at the same time which I've frozen for later in the week.

    9) Lost another 2lbs so that is a stone this month.

    10) Watched 24 Hours in Police Custody with bigger son.

    Good Morning People,

My 5 will be very mundane following French views of stars and achievements such as lifting concrete!

(RIP Marigold....... We stopped naming our hens, as it was too distressing if they were got by the fox. Now they are safe in their enclosure, we keep them much longer, I could risk naming them.......

    Yesterday

    1. Took big TV packaging box to school for scenery for school production. No longer in our hallway :j

    2. Actually finished a task in the morning.

    3. Pretended to be a Limousine hire company. Students had to ring me to find out information about the cars to book their Prom Limo. It was very funny seeing their faces when we revealed it was me:rotfl: I must have a telephone voice.

    4. Pie and mushy peas for tea.

    5. Finally sat down to watch the last episode of Escape to the Chateau DIY. Then finished watching The Windsor’s Special.

    Have a lovely day :)

    Monday pleasures,

Weird one to start but a fast day, I like that it feels more like a reset after an extravagant weekend.

Went through the house and cleared Mount Ironmore.

Capt S went shopping and came back with two bunches of tulips for me :heart2:

Driving home from yard, windows open and sun warm on my arms, everything so green and lush.

The farmer came to spray the field next to the cottage at just gone 9pm, jeez they work hard.

Morning all, hairdressers then dentist later. I am not looking forward to either.:(

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. Managed a quick sea circuit before leaving ICT
    2. Also managed to get the washing out for a couple of hours before I left. I do like to hang it out if i can
    3. Train journey happened. I've had better but overcrowding on one part of the journey meant that i couldn't work so took the opportunity to start a new book (Matt Haig, 'reasons to stay alive')
    4. A fast day - it was harder than it has been. not sure why :/ but the pleasure is that i did it.
    5. Caught up with the latest installment of 'the split' while the house was empty.

    have a good day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Happy hols DD. On your way back, don't forget my Jacket has been in Paris since February 1984!
    Baked Beans! Proper snorker food!

V Excitement at the mill has reached fever pitch in excitement! The fires are so bright as new cloth has been sourced! More later!

4 In BoPs packed lunch box today we have a decent bird, with salad, snorker roll, Bourneville, club and a penguin! No cakes of Jaffa today! Tum vigorously rubbed! Nearly cooked up this moaning as I had forgettens to do lunch bags and wolfed down our crisp rice bits. Other cereals are available!

3 That also last night we had roulette again. Not as hot as some, but the bits were good. That leaves the rosemary infused roast tatties for the snorker fest on Saturday! More later!

2 Was out and about inn emporium last night, as it will save time later this weak! Got the wobbleades inn and some whine for BoPsie. Used the T vouchers that came, we have had one for a while. Not worth going until it is £5! Amazing how they get here at half term, their data trawl of BoP must be full of nonsense. Unfortunately we could not use the £8 off voucher as we only purchased wobbleade!

I has not had one for a while! So here, watched the cricket last night! Not IPL carp either! Proper stuff.

More exclusive BoPiness in your version of the Life of BoP tomorrow.

What another beautiful day...after a very late night! My daughter was out with a friend last night and she came home at agreed time safely but friend had decided to stay on and her mother was ( quite rightly) most anxious and upset but still texting me a 00.45am ....waaaay past my bedtime!

Nice doggy walk. Just me and my dog this morning.

I've found Australian Masterchef . Whilst delighted it made me very homesick for Melbourne, could just have popped over.

Nipped down to Morrisons for a few things including lavender plants. Picked up prescription at GP. Still a joy that we get free prescriptions in Scotland.

Planted plants and sowed some 'bee bombs' we'd been given as a gift. Shall see what grows! Used my new hose to water things in!

May have dozed in garden on garden sofa.

Having a fundraising garden party in July for OHs birthday and to raise money for his oncologist's research. So started planning that.

    Pizza for tea.
