Started writing this this morning but battery did run out and I was surprised to still find this here…
A quick good morning from my make shift bed on the sofa! Before the battery runs out on iPad.Yesterday we were up early and all set to head to CP. Had to defrost the car first as it was a very heavy frost. Then just as I was about to go out my mums NDN went past so stood and chatted to her for ages! Could see the dog at the porch window going oh no…she’s talking!
Quick nip into supermarket to get some Easter eggs to hand in at CP for the egg hunt on Sunday. Quick chat with manager.
Lovely walk. And had a nice morning at caravan. Hoovered and washed the very muddy floors from the weekend as it was just so wet!
Another quick walk before we left. It was the most gorgeous blue skied day.
Home. Then headed out to see work place friend. For about 45 minutes.
And home. DD2 called and said they would head to mine. I was planning on going to supermarket on way home but just headed home to see them.Chat. Chat. Then DD2 came with me to supermarket.
And then my poor doggy boy had taken very unwell. SIL had called us. He had been very sick in the garden but then had a seizure and then very sick again. so emergency appointment at vets. Who gave him a very thorough check over. Took bloods which have since came back as all clear. And gave me medication for him incase he had another seizure.
So home and a very restless night for me…he slept, me not so much. Chat to Australia in the middle of my night.
For today. A quiet day. Vet called about teatime to tell me blood results and checked how he was. He’s okay but not quite his usual exuberant self. When I needed to go out this afternoon he came too!
Quick FaceTime to Australia to show a doggy could still wag his tail.Enjoyed a RTC toasted hot cross bun.
Got a work call for another job, so chat to family to arrange to meet them.DD2 and The Pup were deposited here and have just been picked up and taken home.
We went on a late afternoon adventure to pick up something from beach town on marketplace. So my doggy came too.
Been a day of heavy showers. But bright spells in between.
Had takeaway for tea.

Good morning. Happy Easter.
Well we stormed overnight and was a smidge pleasant first thing but rain on and wind picking up again.
For Saturday. A better night as I slept right through! As did a doggy. We are just to have a quiet few days. So that’s just wha5 we are doing. Was catching up on housework when a lesser spotted brother turned up as he very occasionally does.
DD2 and SIL came over later and we had our egg hunt. She won! And then we had dinner together which was nice. And so far today Gammon joints went in slow cooker and pavlova is a-cooling down in the oven. And I boiled some eggs to decorate afterwards…there’s a prize for best egg! Having an early Easter lunch at 1.30pm. So table is all set. Need to peel some spuds and prep veg and that’s it!
Have a good day.

Gosh it’s quiet round here! Me again with my Sunday pleasures as iPad had ran out of charge last night.
Anyway up early on Easter Sunday. Thought the wind hadn’t done too much damage in the garden but have just seen a potting station has been blown over up my side path and the sofas were a tad askew yesterday morning. Easily sorted though.
We had a day of all the blooming weathers again! We even had snow! Lots of hail. Lots of wind and rain. Occasionally blue sky and sunshine peeked through…and another just all on repeat day!Set up for Easter lunch. I do love setting my table all nicely. I had bought a £1 bunch of daffs in the supermarket the day before and they delighted me by opening up to be the most gorgeous colour of buttery yellow narcissi with an orange middle. Beautiful.
We had slow cooked gammon, mash and roast potatoes, carrot and turnip mash, broccoli, yorkies and corn on the cob. And then for pudding I surpassed any pavlova I have ever made before and I’ve made loads! This was deliciously perfect! I did three layers ( drew a circle round a bowl on the baking paper) bottom was the leftovers from a jar of RTC caramel. Then cream. Then topped with cream. And put out bowls of strawberries, raspberries and mini eggs to decorate yourself.
But we had laughter and chatter which is just as important as the food I think! We decorated our eggs and DD2 won the prize ( best decorated egg)
They all left. Dishwasher was put on…I only really use it when I do a big dinner for everyone. And the dog and I said sigh…let’s sit quietly!
Friend went home with a big piece of pavlova and I have a dinners worth of leftovers for later.
So far this morning it’s dry and I’ve optimistically hung out a washing! My Monday morning working self is grateful to her Friday being prepared self as all I have to do is grab my bag later on!
Yesterday marked 14 years since the day my husband was first diagnosed with cancer. Because Easter is a moveable date each year it obviously isn’t always on Easter. I am such an elephant for dates and remembering and memories ( and I truly hope I will be for a long time) so there’s quite a few moments of oooft…but Easter is one of my favourite times of year…and even that year we still decorated our eggs and had our picnic at the beach.

Hello everyone, hope you all had a good Easter.
A bittersweet anniversary, mhags, and hope your doggy has recovered. Your Easter lunch sounds delicious!
Some pleasures:
No storm damage this time though it was pretty ferocious overnight on Saturday.
Some sunny Easter weather, today has been been glorious.
Just back from a great couple of days away with brother and SIL, lots of chats, lots of laughs, lots of wine - ouch!
Went to The Mystery of Banksy - A Genius Mind exhibition in Manchester. Wow, pretty amazing and very thought provoking. My brain still hurts!
They bought us Easter eggs as a thank you for us providing the picnics. Awww! A long time since anyone bought me one. Also a couple of dozen real eggs fresh from the farm. Omelettes and chocolate for tea tonight!
A couple of days to get sorted and then we go away again for a few days, just us this time, to The Potteries, a couple of NTs and a second night of Sunny Afternoon as we enjoyed it so much last time.
Missing some internet pals on here, hope everyone is well x

Evening all 😊
(((((mhags))))), I can't believe it's 14 years.
Anyway, five recent pleasures:
- On day 4 of no spend. I’ve stayed at home for the long weekend – I've not seen a soul, and I’ve enjoyed it.
- Tonight’s haybox heated stew worked out well and I have lots of portions for the freezer.
- Beautiful sunny day.
- I was sent some lovely photos of DGD being smiley, wearing bunny ears and clutching a very large foil covered chocolate egg. Not sure who ate the egg but I know it wasn’t her – weaning is a while off yet and I'm not sure chocolate will be on the menu as a first food!
- Got some significant paperwork sorted.
Sweet dreams

For the last few days,
Due to weather conditions it wasn't quite the gardening marathon we had planned but we did get the grass cut and a fair bit of weeding done, also cleared and prepared two of my raised veg planters ahead of various bits going in. I’m planning on growing more food this year as, like keeping a decent pantry, it’s a wise move considering all things.
Did see my DN and DGN, he’s growing up quickly and like all small boys somewhat fixated on shall we say some bodily functions!
Also received a lovely photo of DB and DSIL enjoying the afternoon tea we gifted them for Christmas.
Did put my crystals out to recharge under the full moon but it clouded over and by the morning they had been washed in rainwater instead!
There was a dark chocolate gold bunny waiting for me on Sunday morning ❤️
A good sort out of girlie’s rugs, two put out for cleaning and lighter ones put on the rack by her stable.Breakfast out and we all enjoyed the farm shop snorkers. An elderly stopped us on the way out of the cafe and made such a fuss of C dog. Apparently she had had Labradors all her life but could no longer cope with looking after a dog. Our girl lapped up all the attention as we told her story and dropped her head in the lady’s lap. Did make me wonder about putting her forward as a visiting therapy dog 🤔

@LaineyT You story about C dog and the elderly lady fair brought a lump to my throat and I think I may have got a little dust in my eye 😪 Miss my labs too. Therapy dogs are brilliant - the reactions of the visited people are priceless. Please check it out.
Hope the grey one is behaving herself- my lot are in lurve with the 2 alapacas that are now residing next door. Not sure who has the most 'hair' at the moment. It's quite sweet really.
