I must have fallen asleep early!
For Friday.
up early.
finished writing the service I was working on and then sent it off.
Popped into work place very briefly.
Then straight down to CP for a lovely walk.Home briefly turn out for ouchy ouch massage. And home. Chats with sister and friend. And my lodgers have left! Sang a song about it to the dog as I locked the door behind me 😆😆3 -
Good morning. Too dark to see the weather yet. Yesterday was rain. Again! Think they didnt dare leave the hosepipe ban on any longer. Don't feel the need to rush out and water the garden though.
Highdays - I'm with you on Away in a Manger sung by infants. And Salvation Army bands playing carols at railway stations. In bits every time!
D Doll - love hearing your Thai tales. A place I'd love to return to, but cherish the memories of beautiful places and charming people
So..recently
Annual wreath making event with DD, suspended last year as she was on honeymoon. We were both a bit fumbly at first but a glass of prosecco later things ran more smoothly and wreaths are finished and installed.
Christmas planning coming along nicely. Slight contretemps yesterday with DH who has shown little interest so far, despite being consulted at every stage. He thought it might be better if....... I said I was very happy to hand over the reins to him. We're friends again now!
Lovely trip to Leeds with DD. Haven't lived there for 60 years but it's still like coming home. Shopping, prosecco ( do you see a pattern when DD and I get together?) and a Thai tapas lunch. A great day.
Picked DGD up after she'd had her nails done. I'm still so pleased every time she does a 'normal' 17 year old girl thing but have to be careful not to make a fuss!
So,onwards and upwards. Going to make a toffee tart today to freeze for Boxing day. But we'll have to try a sample slice each. Don't want to poison anyone on the day.
Happy weekend everyone

This is my 2nd trip happycas and I can see why people fall in love with the place and the people
1) judging all day (and i mean all day!) so the pleasure is seeing the enthusiasm of all those students and early researchers presenting their papers (12) and posters (18)
2) the green ice-cream at lunch time - what's not to love!
3) watching bangkok life from our minibus - took us 30 minutes to drive 'home' google maps says 22 minutes walking
4) news had come through last night bangkok time that our Thai phd student had passed her minor corrections hooray so, although not official, we let her know - she was thrilled (and quite right too!)
5) we treated her to dinner at the hotel bar while the lovely pianist played on
tomorrow i am doing a 3 hour workshop (no peace for the wicked!) so have ironed my dress, packed my case and now listening to bowie. alarm set for 7, minibus picks us up at 8:15MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
