Hello. Not long in from being out out and then out with dog! I’m usually asleep by now!Up early.Into town with DD2. Popped into charity shop. Got a new still with tags on red jumper and a pink top that will be suitable for a service I have coming up that’s bright colours requested.Home and grabbed dogs and we went down to Cp so they both had a good run.The prodigal brother turned up for a visit. Without sounding morbid ( it’s what I do for a living) pinned him down on what he would like when the time comes for his funeral! He doesn’t like to talk about it but it will be left to me when the time comes. So I’d rather know what he wants. It’s now written down! And off he went and then it was time to get ready for going out . The Chaps family are up for a few days so we were going out with them. Had a lovely dinner…and more again tomorrow!Big moon keeking through the clouds.6

For yesterday,
Bit of a lie-in then the treat of breakfast out at the farm shop, we arrived just after the local WI had been seated for a festive brunch so service was a little slower than usual but the ladies looked so festive in their jumpers and reminded me so much of my darling Mum that had a bit of a lump in my throat so it’s a good job that it took a while for our food to arrive.
Afterwards we had a look in the Christmas barn where I found a cute knitted Robin and Capt S a brown dog hanging decoration for the tree in memory of small dog so another lump in throat!
Made some bread dough then headed over to see my big girl, bit worried about a scaby patch on the bag of one of her hind legs so washed it down with Hibiscrub, taking the scab off and then applied Aloe Vera gel. Hopefully that will help, we don’t want the dreaded mud fever thank you very much!
Home, dough had over proved a tad but got it in the oven and it came out ok. Settled down to listen to the footie, after extra time United won on penalties and are in the hat for the next round of FA cup, 🤞for a big club and a payout day.
Farm shop snorkers for tea then a few games of Yahtzee.5 -
& Congratulations on the win.
I’ve been looking for a “winter dress” and tonight I think I found one, a long purple velour one that doesn’t look like an evening dress.
I’m taking a new approach to Christmas I will do what I can family wise, but I do accept I won’t be able to do it all due to health, so we’ll just have to say no as and when needed.
A chop and new potatoes with vegetables for dinner.
Flash Gordon playing in the background, how much cheesiness can be fitted in.

Hello. A more appropriate bedtime for me tonight!Up early.
Made a pavlova first thing whilst chatting to DD1.
Guests were out for a couple of hours so it was quiet but also took a work call so after writing what I needed to write I sorted out my clean laundry…trying to keep on top of guests washing and getting it all dry. ( whilst still chatting on phone)Out for tea.Lots of laughter.
Big catch up with friend on phone.6 -

A rather tired dundeedoll reporting in from sunny Thailand
1) After a very stressful week Friday was much much better. Got some things off my chest including email to the Dean saying I didn't mind if he shared any or all or didn't do anything with my email. Appreciate we are all working in a very stressful situation. Then managed about half of my keynote, home, supper and best night's sleep for a while
2) Saturday packed, bath, repacked (this is why I leave my packing late!) then trundled off with luggage to
3) oub to watch Leicester with drM. Disaster, pub of the toasties had Arsenal already on on 2 screens and 3rd not working so off to 2nd choice pub -also very nice but no toasties! barman Leicester supporter so all 4 of his screens on that match lol - and Leicester won
4) walked down to bus to the airport (for the very mse price of £1 booking (Scotland we are fortunate to get our concession card at 60) via MrT (egg sarnie and apple bought for late lunch) and loo at DCA
5) Very fast through luggage drop and security so plenty of time with free refill cuppa at spoons doing keynote (now 3/4 done)
And for Sunday
1) both flights uneventful, ate, watched films, slept
2) long walk at connection gave me a chance to stretch my legs (eschewed the moving walkways and escalators where I could)
3) PhD student met me at the airport (she's just submitted her minor corrections so technically is still my student)
4) a shower omg how good is a shower after such a long travel in the same clothes
5) Pad Thai and hotel's signature cocktail with PhD student then bed and slept like a log
Now to finish that keynote! (9am tomorrow morning)

For yesterday,
Left Capt S snoozing and headed downstairs to take C dog for an early walk, mild and breezy.
Listening to TMS but the tiny spark of hope with Stokes & Jacks partnership quickly extinguished, Trescothick saying it is what it is didn’t help funnily enough!
Topped up the bird feeders and thought about doing a bit of cutting back but then it started to rain and the twinkly lights made inside look far more appealing.
Watched an episode of Cooper & Fry, I read one of the books years ago.
