For yesterday,
Woke up to a freezing cold house so the pleasure of my very thick dressing gown!
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Little bit of time outside in the garden but kept getting distracted by C dog who has realised that by dropping a tennis ball at our feet she gets one of her hoomans to throw it for her, bit of late autumnal sunshine as well.
Roast dinner, followed by a walk around the fields before the rain came over then home for dessert.
Snuggling down to catch up on ACGAS, perfect watch for a Sunday evening.

Hello…darkness is approaching but oh how lovely to have that extra light in the morning!
We had the vets at 8.30am…I left a wee bit earlier to try and avoid the school traffic on main road.Booster time of year. He just loves the vets and it was someone we’ve seen before ( when he was having one of his nonspecific not quite right episodes as he does) so she was pleased to see him looking well. And all covered by a monthly pet plan so no big expense to pay. Then we went down to CP but we hit the school traffic! We just had a lovely walk didn’t actually go to caravan. Met someone and walked back up the driveway with them and had a nice chat.Popped into work place and have another service booked. Came home and called family to arrange to meet them.
Quickly hoovered car.
Then time to get ready for work this afternoon. A lovely service. Filled with laughter and tears. Was very busy. And nipped into supermarket and got some very fancy RTC flowers that I need to pop into vases. And a bag of chocolate twirl bits as my nice thing after a service.
Chat to DD2 on phone when I got in.And heating on! It’s been a nice bright day but such a raw cold!6 -

Raked over the front garden to get the moss up and generally tidy up a tad.
Soup and a slice for lunch in the new to us soup mugs that are perfect.
We popped out for an amble with 2 ferrets, so it was quite slow, popped to the Range picked up grass seed while the ferrets had lots of adoration.
Quite impressed with me, if I do say so, for cooking what seemed to be tasty bubble and squeak with leftover pesto run through chicken.
Trying to sort out a couple of little Christmas gifts for DH, I’ve never been this close to it and not had any gifts in

I forget how quickly the evenings draw in after the clock change.
1) despite that today's weather was glorious
2) found the plunger and managed to unblock the kitchen sink - also found the soda crystals. I used to put a cup full down the sink once a month - have clearly got out the habit - will restart!
3) very enjoyable piano lesson - I have braved getting the scherzo hands together though we still started hands separate - he plays the other hand. scherzo it is not 🤣(goes finds youtube Mendelssohn - Scherzo In E Minor Op. 16, No. 2 - 480,000pts wow!) Dr Gradus is at the ambling stage but I do love playing it, errors and all.
4) made myself a knickerbocker glory - i'm not that keen on icecream so made it with jelly, fruit and greek yoghurt - yum
5) and now watching some tv having caught up on all your pleasures. bed time soon zzzMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
Quick trip into horsey town first thing for a food shop but no coffee with pal as engineer was expected re heating problem.
He turned up on time and set to, then window cleaner turned up so busy busy.No luck with heating as boiler needs new fuel pump, coming back today to hopefully fix. Nice young chap and was plied with coffee & biscuits ☺️ He said that he was only one of two guys in his company now that can fix oil-fired boilers.
Over to see pony, she was wet from the downpours so wicking rug popped on to dry and much cosseting.
In need of comfort food so a b squash macaroni cheese made and we had a big bowl of that. Then blankets, candles and quiz night.1
