VJsmum, Glastonbury sounds like your place to relax, when we used to run ferret boarding, we would be choc a block full the festival week.
Trying to catch up, but I haven’t yet, somewhat poorly here in the 4th or 5th week now, doctors have said hospital x ray shows pneumonia, on a third round of antibiotics, I must take with a lot of water and then cover up against sun while taking them.
1 We had our first takeaway in weeks yesterday, it was good, and it also served as lunch today.
2 Very grateful for freezer supplies, and easy meals.
3 Keeping the bird feeders stocked up as they are a pleasure while laying on the sofa looking out.
4 The vets phoned to say are we dropping Fuse off for his second scan tomorrow, which they forgot to tell us the date, which is no problem as thankfully we can make it. While we are managing funds to try and make ends meet, there’s no denying it’s concerning. I maintain thou that insurers would find ways of wriggling out of paying and you must pay upfront any rate.
5 On that note, I remembered to enter the lottery 😊.

Quick pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) A good sleep!!!!
2) Did a load of washing which nearly dried on the line.
3) Walked into town and kept passing, then being passed by, the same man on a mobility scooter. There is always talk that there are salmon (or elva) in the stream in our park. Anyway, the man overtook me again then I caught up with him and bumped into 2 friends of mine at the same time! The man said, "Look, you never actually get to see the salmon..." and we all pored over a salmon on the rocks by the stream. The man chatted about it for a while - then laughed because it was his dog's plastic toy!
4) Had a pot of tea in M and S.
5) Painted the bits around the windows (which might be called reveals?) Smaller son did the bit of the landing window that I can't reach.
6) Smaller son made rocky road.
7) Went to see MrM.

Had a meal mid afternoon. Potatoes, left over chicken pie and veggies.
Had a snoozette on new sofa.
Pup collected.
And then friend picked me up and off we went up to city. To the theatre. Had a lovely evening.Quick doggy walk when I got home then brrrrrr up to bed.8 -
Will keep fingers crossed for Fuse PK
For yesterday,
Rough night due to small dog’s aging faculties so big mug of coffee very much needed.
More sloggus domesticus, this time was the bathrooms that got the elbow grease, as always pleasure when done.
Did some research and ordered some new bedside lamps, our current ones are too small and I find myself slipping down in bed when reading, I had some vouchers and in the sale they were a good price.
Spent time with my equine girlie, much happier today and was very generous with kisses, there was lots of rain rolling around so put her out in a lightweight rug especially needed with the temperature dropping overnight.
Did a mini midweek roast much to beloved’s delight.

Pk - Yes, it definitely is 'my' place. Though it is hard work, you relax in that it is a place outside of normal life
Pleasures for yesterday
1. slowly catching up with lost sleep
2. tutorial done, nice to be back in the saddle (metaphorically speaking)
3. walk with friend in park
4. watching Bridgerton
5. an early night - still catching up with sleep
Have a great afternoon all.I wanna be in the room where it happens7 -
Hello…from the land of so much rain. Oh my goodness at the lashings and lashings of rain today. And wind. And cold. Blah!Woke up early. Did doggy stuff. Then I dozed off again and couldn’t believe the time I woke up!Was going to walk up to polling station but was ever so glad I drove as it was torrential on the way back.
Quiet afternoon.
Had chicken Kiev for tea with potato and veg.And read for a wee while on my new sofas! And looked out the doors to the rain!7 -
Hello, just dropping in quickly.
Recent pleasures:
1) Grandson is back safe and sound from his first solo foreign holiday - well, him and 14 other 18 year olds! Sign of the times that he came home via a visit to his girlfriend! Seems I am no longer his 'best, best friend', although he was only 3 when he told me I was!!!
2) Nice to see a bit of sun now and then in between the clouds.
3) Went to vote, not sure what the pleasure is in the whole carry on but maybeit's that now they can get back to some serious work running the country rather than campaigning - or are they all on their summer holidays now? Who knows, but at least tomorrow we will wake up and it will be over, one way or the other.
4) Nice tax rebate albeit two years overdue, the pleasure for the taxman is that they'll have earned a nice bit of interest on it, the pleasure for us is that now maybe we can too.
5) Sorting and packing for our holiday in Suffolk, really looking forward to some 1:1 time with hubby and a nice, relaxing break with some lovely places planned to visit in a county we haven't been to before.
Stay safe and play nicely while we are away, will catch up with all your pleasures when we are back next weekend.
