Hello! It’s absolutely lashing with rain!Up early.
Friend came at 8am to pick up stuff from garage. All my husbands stuff and all now gone to a good home and I got a lovely call this afternoon to say the chaps that got the stuff were delighted. So I’m glad. It’s a relief it’s gone but also a relief that it’s went to the right place…and makes room in my new to me garden shed ( had visions of having to take it!)
Doggy and I went to the beach. And out of nowhere up ran a spaniel to say hello! My dog is reactive with others so had a bit of a panic as he was off lead ( as no other dogs around) but after a bit of barking he decided to be nice and join in ( he’s now hobbling as he’s ran too much) and was in water up to his chest ( he usually goes in up to his ankles!) however the attitude of the wee dogs owner was a bit indifferent to say the least! And his dog would not come back to him (he was way the other side of the beach and we had to walk down to where he was ) and he couldn’t get him to get its lead on ( would sit and as soon as he got near ran off!) and he took H’s favourite ball and we couldn’t get it back.
If it had been an old tennis ball I wouldn’t have minded but it was a good one and the chaps attitude was well you won’t get it back ( as he couldn’t even get near his own dog!) so I had to walk away down towards the sea and the dog followed me and eventually lost interest in the ball! Damned if his dog was getting to keep my dog’s ball! And then the dog ran off after some other dogs whilst man just let him! Not all dogs are friendly!Anyway after that we enjoyed what was left of our walk and headed back to the car! ( chap was still trying to get his dog back…maybe have him on a long lead?)
Drove by my new house in a stalkerish manner 😆
Quick nip into supermarket. And home!
Pootered about with bits and pieces that need yo be packed.
Had a snoozette.Made a cold pasta salad for my tea. I’m down to very basic equipment in the kitchen.
Just been out and filled the last bit of garage stuff into a box and swept up. Just need to tape up the box, wipe the shelves down and the garage is done! This is an enormous achievement! No garage where I’m going.Just going to get suitcases out the cupboard to start putting the clothes I won’t be wearing in.And I need to check work bag to see if I need to print forms for my job tomorrow. It’s also rained enough to have watered the garden thoroughly…that’ll do rain!11 -
Oh thanks for the reminder Frith, I have a Mr T voucher that needs using up.
1 DH’s docs appointment went well, to review various numbers being tracked, a relief all around and new meds to try.
2 Popped to Aldii for a very needed shop.
3 Got on with unpacking some summer dresses / skirts and packing away winter.
4 Cooked up a batch of bolognaise, using rtc mince and bendy veg up, we had a chilli bowl from it tonight.
5 I re filled all the bird feeders this evening and 2 woodpeckers and a jay came straight down just as I walked back in. As long as I don’t move, I can see them…

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep. Had a dream about taking the dining room carpet up but the dining table in the dream was round, not a rectangle! I hadn't had a dream (at least that I could remember) since MrU left. When he was here, I had recurring dreams of a) trying to shout for help and not being able to and b) trying to run but being unable to synchronise my limbs and falling over and being unable to run away. Let's not analyse those for too long!
2) 4 mile walk today and a pot of tea in M and S. Saw Robert Plant in there (he only lives up the road).
3) Tried again to do the online training for invigilation. I keep getting a question wrong and having to retake the module.
4) Went to Lidl. Came back and I have talked to my neighbour a few times about how much walking we both do. She said I walk very purposefully. She saw my come back in my car and immediately did a silly walk, pacing with her arms swinging!
5) Watched the end of the Traitors and am now watching the Grand Tour with Rob and Rylan as I type. Very good so far.
6) Bigger son's girlfriend just broke a tooth and I managed to find a "late" night pharmacy. Bigger son had 9 minutes to get there and managed it - on his bike!11 -
For yesterday,
Rain, a lot of rain but still mild so all indoor plants put outside for a good soak.
Few chores then over to see equine pal, she was sleepy after a night on the tiles so a groom then sat in with her and listened to a podcast while she slept.
A good sort through and try on of clothes, now have two big bags plus one of handbags & shoes to go to the CS, have been really ruthless but fed up with keeping things for Justin.
All that decluttering wore me out so tea and fruit shortcake biscuits whilst watching a Marple.
My beloved wanted to watch the footie and by the shouts & groans it was more than a tad frustrating, wonder if our lovely DIL ( Arsenal fan ) is still talking to Capt S this morning!10 -
1) new start - she is lovely and very much looking forward to working with her - bit of confusion though over her line manager - is still in system as someone who heads up cellular systems, she is medical education so he was totally mystified when she was on arrival directed to him
2) then brought her to external exam board so she has met everyone as well as seen a little about the programme - we graduated our 6000th students 🍾🍾🍾
3) programme lead and I introduced new start to the wonders of the pizza ovens - she very kindly, despite our protestations, paid - it was £14 for 2 freshly made pizzas and 3 hot drinks, excellent value
4) gbf picked me up from work as he is off to Netherlands today to visit my DD1 (there's a bit steam festival and DD2 and her bf will be going out tomorrow) - mum had left a shepherd's pie and there was plenty for 3 so invited him for supper
5) then of course the football with DrM. All down to Sunday though looks like City will win. A crowd was in for the Gers Dundee game but they left before the final whistle - guess they were Dundee fans then. It was also music night so very very busy.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

It's like a bus these days!
Reports from the wharf!
DD yous does realise that my other team is Arsenal, ever since that day that Charlie George volleyed from 5000 yards at Wembley!
Note from the mill and as yous lots nows that Software types and HR are on the extinction list. This morning our net thing to contact thems in HR is not working. The software tips have downgraded their portal and even they cannot get inn as well. Otherwise on the wharf all is good!
Watched the soccer last nite on the box, with a sniffs of a wobbleade. Spuds laid down! Poor! See above! A selection of English cheeses was taken.
Kitty, who is hopeless if she gets out, ventured off piste this morning and ended up in neighbours yard! I rescued her again! She is licking her paws!
Sun is on here today, so the roses and pansy will need watering later!
Jenny gets her check up tomorrow.I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!10 -
I;m still hoping Arsenal win the Preimiership admiral
Monday is usually very very long but this week Monday went with a swing - now I find it was waiting till today! I am totally zonked so won't be long before I hit the sack. but for now
1) the decorators have arrived - my office is started
2) during a long meeting this morning I could see a lovely tree outside whose leaves looked like they were clapping in the wind
3) a very nice latte to celebrate the end of the big meetings
4) mum had cooked a very yummy pasta bake and I was definitely in need of comfort food - I am now very full
5) And catching up on HIGNFY before I go to bed and catch up with the Archers - long article about Alice in the Radio Times ampersMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

1 Not a dry eye in the house after watching a particular episode of Clarkson’s farm 3, he may be a marmite person, but he’s been able to do so much for farming.
2 Took Fuse in for a check up as he’s deteriorating, so back on antibiotics, tests run to check which antibiotics may be needed. He had to have a horrid test without putting him under, and the vet also noticed he stressed a lot, so a lot of cuddles after, spoiling him with extra treats.
3 We needed a few things over the bridge so went shopping, fuelled up at Costco, managed to get DH to purchase 2 sets of shoes, I am flabbergasted, but he’s got bad plantar fasciitis, in the entire time I’ve known him he doesn’t buy shoes. One pair is a quality pair of Columbias, the other Sketchers Memory foam.
4 Our kettle owes us nothing, I bought it for £8 from Asda about 8 years ago, after being fed up with expensive ones not working, now the lid clasp is broken, however DH wanted one with less plastic fair enough, this one has a lot less plastic, but still has a few plastic bits.
5 Ferrets dancing at me and the clothes I was trying to hang out.

Hello. Bedtime. Very achy back!
Up early.
Pup dropped off
Bit of packing…it’s so blooming relentless!Went to castle with my doggo. First time I’ve left pup on his very own here…as in he’s old enough and his dog walker was coming shortly…but his wee face at the glass door 🙁
Anyway we had a lovely walk the greenness of everything splashed with the white of mayflower and cow parsley , pup still wasn’t back when I’d to go out to work.Met the loveliest family this afternoon.
Home. Not long in and friend came round so we sat in the garden and chattered.
Pup picked up.
Then just sat ( hence sore back) and written first draft of script. Brain gets slightly frazzled.11 -
For yesterday,
Tackled the bathrooms and sorted through a stash of half used toiletries, I’m definitely on a de-cluttering spree!
Small dog had a rough couple of days earlier in the week but has rallied now, she’s so precious that every day is a bonus.
Talking of precious, at the yard and my big girl was fast asleep in her stable, even a carrot waved enticingly under her nose didn’t wake her up so various chores done until she decided to stir.
Driving home and two ladies riding their horses through village, some drivers were careful, others not so but I held others up to allow the ladies to manoeuvre around a parked car, received cheery waves in thanks.
Chicken kebabs and couscous for tea, caught up with HIGNFY which was v funny and then read our books until bedtime.9
