A quiet day spent at home. It has lashed and lashed with rain all day and actually feels quite cool tonight. Was puppy sitting this afternoon. Nice to say hello and nice to wave goodbye to!
Made pasta at lunchtime. The very RTC lavender plant I bought yesterday looking a lot happier after all the rain.7 -
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) A lie in! First for 6 weeks. Woke at 9.30.
2) Off to the launderette to dry many loads of washing and all the bedding in one vast tumble dryer. (Rare, but it hasn't stopped drizzling for a few days).
3) Went to the single charity shop in launderette village. It is only a small shop but it often delivers. Today I got a brand new dress from Sugarhill Brighton for £5.
4) Off to Ludlow afterwards but nothing in the charity shops there. Had a cup of tea and the world's poshest couple sat at the next table. Suddenly they stopped talking about ballet and tried some of their food and the lady said, "Cracking cheese, Grommet" !
5) I got home and asked smaller son what he had been doing. He said, "I am here for happiness and entertainment purposes" which made us laugh for so long that eventually we had to sit in different rooms as we got the stitch!
6) Did vaguely tidy up and cleaned the bathroom.
7) Went to Wildlife Club in the village hall and a man from the village brought in his owls.
8) After more than 12 months here, and more than 18 months in England, 10 guys received their right to remain today.7 -

For yesterday,
Up early so oven on and we had baked croissants for breakfast.
Tackled Mount Ironmore ( have been delaying due to hot weather but much cooler so that excuse out of the window ) as always the pleasure is when done, changed the bed as well.
Held up by traffic for a while but sung along to the radio, pleasure was the queue cleared just before my exit so wasn’t used as a cut through and I carried on to the stables. My pony was fast asleep when I got there so chatted to another owner and did a few chores. She finally woke up so we did some lateral work to get her horsey brain engaged which she enjoyed. More horsey chat with pals, just to get my fix ☺️Popped out to pet store for small dog’s food, had completed a loyalty card so money off as well. Home for tea & cake.
It rained quite hard all evening so no sitting outside, we watched some old TOTP then Gogglebox.6 -

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Off to Park Run. Very good news for one man there today. Lots of merriment afterwards and some good photos taken.
3) Back home for a swift tidy up.
4) Smaller son was nowhere to be seen when I got home! Turns out my brother had been round, woken him up and got him to go to watch some motorcycle racing locally.
5) My school friend came round for the afternoon.
6) 3 nice strawberries from the garden.
7) Had fish and chips of tea.
8) Will watch Casualty just now.6 -
Did some fridge sorting, grating up cheese and cutting up peppers to freeze.
Made lovely egg mayo on toast to use up stale bread
Found some films to stream.
HM pizza topped with the frozen peppers and cheese from above, with some sweetcorn.
A pleasure, it's all done, but it took 24 hours soaking and cleaning to get the oven spick and span.

Good morning. Sunny again. Much though I love sunny weather, we do need some rain. Still virtually none here. Perhaps it could rain one night when I'm tucked up in bed. Please!
Oh heck, ampersand!
P Kitten - one of the huge advantages of an air fryer is that I hardly ever use the oven and the air fryer is easy to clean!
DH decided we needed to sort out the shed. He's right but it's needed doing for years so why suddenly now I don't know. Anyway, we did but as he's not allowed any lifting, stretching etc, he mostly supervised and shuffled the odd plant pot from A to B. I got out the huge storage box holding two big floor cushions. Put the cushions in the car boot to go to the charity shop but had to put the box in the garage. Too big for the boot! And so it went on. But it's looking better now.
Vacuumed the inside of the car yesterday. It's not been done for ages and looked as if it belonged to someone who worked on a farm. Not perfect but much less grass and dried mud now.
Chicken shawarma for tea. Just chicken breasts I marinated in a paste from a jar and then cooked in the air fryer. They were delicious with veggy rice. Will do that again.
I taught DGD to crochet a while ago and now she's better than me! She's making a Spider-Man hat for her sister's third birthday. You Tube is now her instructor!
Not sure what today holds but I'm sure it will be good.
Happy 🌞 day everyone

For yesterday,
A great nights sleep without needing a nocturnal trip to the bathroom!
Decided to treat ourselves to breakfast out so visited the local farm shop, tasty food and lovely to have a good chat with my man.
Pottering around at home, picking up and putting away, cricket on in the background of course.
Later over to see my girlie, bit of lateral work done and then off for a walk. There is a big old hare that has a form in her field and I quite often see it in there, today one crossed in front of us while we are out and I smiled to myself, wondering if it had come for a walk too! Late afternoon by the time we got back so I took her tack off, gave her a brush, covered her in fly spray and put her out for the night. Sat in her field for a while, watching her grazing and counting my blessings.
Home, an evening walk with small dog and CaptS followed by easy tea of herby cheese omelettes.7
