Yesterday was a trying day - our neighbours in ICT have water coming in at their front door which they are blaming on a slipped tile on our roof where it adjoins theirs. i would be very surprised if this is the cause and think it's more likely to be the way their new front door is fitted, but in the interests of neighbourliness and because it does need sorting I have been trying to get it sorted.

Additionally DD ball$ed up cancelling her Sky account (or not cancelling it) for southend and has paid £100 more than she needed to. Tempting as it is to bail her out, we have taken the stand and are not going to, if she'd checked her bank accounts properly then she would have noticed in September... and saved that £100... or most of it. Kids eh?

On top of that the house is in chaos due to decorating....

    anyway, there must be pleasures.

    1. Good journey back from ICT and got some work done. My favourite catering trolley man was on
    2. The decorating is coming on apace
    3. OH and i are planning another holiday for the autumn :T
    4. Managed to get some washing out in the sunshine
    5. Cheese and lentil loaf for meat free monday..

    Have a good day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

4 Right that is the snorker sore ted! Last day BoP was again allowing others to see what a beach ready body does look like!

3 Inn with the remains of human today about interviewing and other things not related to using a shovel in the boiler room!

2 Nite BoP again will be in the gym with his full body beach ready looks. Viewing recommended!

Full Circle coming up this week!
  • 1) Sunshine on the branches of a weeping willow over the millstream when we had lunch at the Mill Restaurant, I could see the tree from the window and willow has a beautiful yellow gleam.

    2) Lunch itself, a black bean burger with avocado instead of a bun and some polenta fries, delicious.

    3) Found Easter presents for two of the boys in the toy shop in the antiques centre (new toys) in the form of two decorate it yourself pirate chests complete with stickers and paints. Both love craft and specially love Pirates!

    4) Sitting by the stove this afternoon as it cooled outside and being immersed in gentle warmth, it was very pleasant indeed.

    5) Another lovely day promised for tomorrow and if it proves so we shall go for a lovely walk around the arboretum in the sunshine, even if it's chilly it's sheltered so will be nice.
  • 1 I’ve had my hair cut to smarten up for the funeral, 5 inches off to make it healthy again, it’s still longish, but it may be my last hair cut ever - I love my hair long.
2 Various running around and orders in for the wake, tomorrow I'll pick it all up.
    3 Family coming down tomorrow.
4 I’ve lost weight – I’m not entirely surprised just glad not to have to worry about that as well at the moment.
5 I am engrossed in a lovely little book, by Rachel Joyce, the music shop.

    Early update for me today!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Porridge and blueberries for breakfast with some left for the hens.

    3) Smaller son did loads of work at school in PE theory lesson.

    4) Did odd jobs and healthy eating continues...

    5) Went round the charity shops in floody city and there was nothing. Then I went in the last one (which I don't always look in as it is tiny and not usually exciting things inside) and I got White Stuff grey cords for £1.99 and a FatFace green hoodie for £2.99 - both as new! Great timing as I am a size smaller that at New Year and short of clothes.

    6) Had a cup of tea with my school friend and reverbed a £1 coin and my friend gave me some tins of sardines and mackerel that she won't use.

    7) In bed with 1 hwb (though not in pyjamas yet) and about to watch Holby City.

    8) My sister is moving house tomorrow from her pleasant but rather ordinary house in a town to a more cottage looking house in a small village. :-) A very strange pleasures but she asked my mum if she would like to look round the new house but she said no, she is not interested! Always uplifting, in a way, not to have that behaviour aimed solely at me.

    1. Not long in and thought of you, pk, when finding Ashford emporium en route back from Dover. Struck up one of those chance chats with a fellow rtc-er, who called my honing in after absence 'returning to the mother ship', which amused us both, as we both took bot.s of osp dandelion and burdock, and some fancy peculiar fizz, super Herby....on verra:-)

    2. Later, it was you, McCulloch:-) who should have been with me, M20>M11, equally thoroughly enjoying and delighting in the rtn of Book Club, with St Stephen of Fry, and Alan Davis, guests with Harriet Gilbert and all loving being together with 3 terrific author choices.

    3. An extraordinary and unexpected piece of post. Unsure what to do, if anything. All derives from &'s unexpected pre-crimbo kerfuffle.

    4. Always stop at Archcliffe Fort Emmāus when leaving Dover by day. Recognition of two former "file names" were a chance discovery about 10yrs back. Site and buildings are tangibly redolent of their past. Love calling in there. Meriva has arrived back at &squat 4xmore capacious than she began, or should be possible. Fingers x'd, &.

    5. Remembering to do Dart charge online by the light of an all but full moon.

About to turn light off. Thought feels good.

Strength and love and laughter will be present with you tomorrow and Thursday, pk, from people, your own memories and failsafe from your 4footed friends, when all is done.

    1. Relaxed atmosphere at work and I was far more productive.

    2. Enjoyed a have a cake at lunch time. It reminded me of rugby festivals that DS2 played in. Standing on cold, wet touchlines. This was the only time we ever had haggis cakes.

    3. Reading my book and not falling asleep.

    4. DS2 cooked tea which was good.

    5. DH went to see MIL and to show builder round her old house. The builder cancelled at the last minute.
