One needs water to keep the works running Ms DfV! Cupbored sore ted! Ms VJ. Note wrong with a quick grumble! Snorkers and chips, food not products! Snorker and has been soup? Mouthwash. No No No No No No No! Rinse mouth after picking inn morning then brush, rinse. No need for the ueseless mouthwash! Sliced Lorne sausage, not proper food! Rugby! Jolly news! I'll get the Roger up for that one and burn the King of Spain's beard as well! Animal sleeps Pink wallet Steam! Veg Soup, Fish cakes!
Stokers and Steam!
Had fish and chips for dinner last night, with fresh from the yard peas and a glass of water Ms DfV!
Then sore ted out the bits, and filled up Ms Kitty's treat box full of treats, they were reduced in the Discount Surplus store after the punters has paid full price in the money extraction that xmas is!
Set the flix box up for the web, and saw an Aussie film, The BBQ, with Shane Jacobson. Been weighting for an age as not available here for some reason! Fiery waters and cheeses were taken! Recommended!
Was out this day to the Brakefest Club, vets meeting and banter was good. Snorkers were plentiful! We do gets strange looks from the civvies! Especially when we pay a good bit less than them! One member is in the quack centre at the moment, so card signed for him!
Back home, picked up the Albatross, and then for ham panini, home made not paying boutique prices. Always good to has the warmed roll and proper buttered. Those on shelfs of the boutique are three days old and curled up before they get there. Strange how the wobbleade emporiums no longer do fresh sandwiches? Proper food, not a product!
Now withs me water and listening via the web to the Mariners live from the Theatre of Fish. Still no talking to Frith about it either!
Good evening. My timing here gets ever more erratic.
VJ'S mum. - don't be too sure about DD! Our DD moved out 20 years ago and has moved back in twice ( albeit just for a few months). I think she's on a piece of elastic!
DfV - good to see you back and in fine form. Another poetry fan here. I download a nice traditional anthology to my kindle and read one poem each morning. Some are old friends, some new treats, but always a good way to start the day.
Bala - my phone case is rose gold glittery. Probably more suited to a 13 year old but at least DH never takes it by mistake.
I think the worst of the wind has died down now, but it's been rough.
A lovely visit to friends today, which has been postponed twice. Had to dodge a few large blown-down branches en route - scary!
Went with them to local pub for a delicious lunch. I had steak pie and chips ( proper chips!) and I'm still full, hours later.
Now home and about to watch something that doesn't require too much thinking! Sure there'll be something to fit the bill
Happy tomorrow everyone ( as today's almost gone now)
1 Wow I don’t know what happened, but I had 2 items in my
argos bag and overnight, the habitat ceiling fan went from 55 to 80 and the hula
hoop from 12 to 18??? I know things are rising steeply but that takes the proverbial,
the pleasure I guess is in not buying them.
2 Tonight’s food is Cumberland sausages, poached egg, chips n
beans.
3 I became curious at some of the Grimms fairy tales, after
a “pointless answer of the mouse, the bird and the sausage”, so I read a couple today and it seems Grimm is
right, I know it’s all morale’s to the stories but still and yet they were strangely
intriguing.
4 Spent a long time gardening a pleasure in the winter sun,
and our little Skittles was “a lot of help”.
1) Did the typing while bigger son told me his corrections for the last little bits of his written apprenticeship work. He has also got signed off for all the different activities at work (rope swing, swimming pool etc).
2) Smaller son and I went to the football. A draw today. We have got so used to them winning that we felt a bit subdued! The security has been increased 10 fold recently so they are now searching people as you go in.
3) Popped to Sainsburys.
4) Did the virtual pub quiz.
5) Watched Casualty. in bed with 2 hwb thanks to the storm (which is not anywhere near as bad as it is in the north),
lovely to hear from you dfv interesting question re. M D I think he now realises I'm ambitious and leaves me to it 1) very windy, Tay Bridge shut to all which doesn't happen very often and trains disrupted - glad dd2 got down to London yesterday 2) walked the boys up to mum's, coffee and nice chat, she gave me lots of magazines 3) made haddock chowder and brown bread - was going to have first tonight but... 4) gbf phoned - did i want to go see Rigoletto live from the Met - started 5:55 - I did and we took cheese sandwiches for the interval. it was lovely and the chowder will be just as lovely tomorrow 5) he came back for tea, biscuits and hello to the boys. And now I'm in bed with the news quiz. night all xxx
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
Bit of a lie-in followed by warm croissants for breakfast.
Sunny if breezy day, did a bit in the garden but just pottering really, the sparrow squadron were out and about being noisy as ever, a pheasant and a couple of partridges were under the apple tree hoovering up the seed where it had been blown out of the feeder.
Over at the yard and saw my fellow livery owners for a catch up, it would seem that all the horses have been on their toes this week. Mine got a long groom and pamper, her winter coat is just starting to shed.
Home, walked small dog and then settled down to listen to the 2nd half of the footie with a cuppa, Utd got a point away from home.
Nice to see you back here DforV - it's been while.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Up and attem, ready to move DD - we managed it with my car although the double mattress was a tight squeeze 2. I was a bit surplus to requirements at times so I did some marking 3. Seeing the house after she'd spent time arranging things - she focussed on the important stuff as you can see from the drawer of coffee pods
4. The cuddlies lent a hand.
5. OH and I went to the pub on the way home - to drown our tinge of sadness at her leaving 6. and then had egg and chips for tea...

According to a lovely poster I am Bala the Brave who wrestled a Tiger. You know who you are.....
I HAVE A GOLD STAR and A MEDAL and a Title !
For yesterday,
Sunny if breezy day, did a bit in the garden but just pottering really, the sparrow squadron were out and about being noisy as ever, a pheasant and a couple of partridges were under the apple tree hoovering up the seed where it had been blown out of the feeder.

Payday treat of a takeaway.
2. Spent an hour doing the bird watch. You were right DFV. Lovely watching the birds. Amazing how many come into the garden.
3. Spent time gardening - more weeding done. It felt quite warm in the sun. Turned cold when it became cloudy.
4. Chat with a neighbour.
5. Quiet evening.
And what a glorious afternoon it is. Bright sun, blue sky and no nasty billy wind.
Croissants here too Lainey. It's our Sunday treat
Made a Victoria sandwich, well, it will be when I have filled it. A nice treat for tea.
Went out for a walk in the lovely weather. So springlike.
Patio door open to let all the germs out!
Does anyone else do Wordle? I'm hooked but do like the fact you can only do one a day so it can't become too time consuming.
Happy 🌞Sunday everyone
