Started again, describing 10-page catch-up read, everyone's osps, some sorrows, reflections, reminiscences, Paulie's lovely pic arrangements....a bit written, then screen freeze, multi, then stutters, jumps and final jump to parking advice page and all gone,🤬😈😡👿👺
Tried selecting all/copy/save....nope.
Wouldn't.
.....just don't have time to keep re-doing.
Samsung notes stopped working a fortnight ago. MrT mobshop A&E dkw.
Also lost email access, although that's now back. Caused huge probs with getting rugby preview out, but finally sorted late morning yesterday.
& due up, out, off again shortly - another big day as Raffle Harridan. We face League Leaders, Sudbury, at 15h.
It will be our toughest match yet - amid sleet, freezing rain, +65mph winds as forecast.~ Toulon have a tough match too, 17h - wheels have come off this season in my beloved Stade Mayol. Pilou! Pilou!BBC- 'Gusty winds and sleet showers. WEATHER WARNINGS ISSUED.'

1. Reverbes, £1 and 10p. All welcome these days of no Spitalfields and omicron meaning &'s decision to return for crimbo earning potential is dumped straight in the Reject box.
2. Midweek Communion, again good, restorative, always - with 🙏thoughts for changing names, situations. No further news of D's identical twin grandsons in NZ, but hoping no news IS good news. They're still 4weeks short of what should have been birth, 10wks now.
3. What a faff are lateral flow tests, not just doing it, but obtaining the darned things. Useless telling & to reg., obtain, use app for code (to be given 2 blasted packs) in usual non-connectivity black hole. Had to have neg. result to attend important Thurs pm mtg. All advised only 4 hrs in advance - new requirement because of fast-rising rates in Town of Gown. Ended up shoving mob. at pharmacist and telling him to sort it out. Took him over 40 mins. He apologised for doubting &...
Then Haha to doing test on flat surface, clean, dry, dust-free surroundings. Did it in car, bits spread on passenger side and dashboard. DONE! NEGATIVE! - just made it to mtg in time.
That was &'s good, re-live it+snarls, cathartic rant 😁😇😘.
4. Yesterday start, 4.30h - Fareshare Food uplifts from 8 supermarkets and lovely French boulanger- Maison Clément, Lainey⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - all Town of Gown. Done, offloaded by 11ish. Then.....
5. Riverside sit, walk, unwind - needed. Quiet time. Last 2 pieces for rugby preview in, re-written, sorted. Freezing out. Rowers training. Swans, ducks, moorhens et al. No drug swoop and arrest this week, as last week Wednesday!(that was another lost post). Back in car with sudden dark cloud rolls, fast moving, plus crashing downpour of not hail, but ice needles! Poor 8s and double scull 4s, all training under that!

A good day.
1. Enjoyed my dog walk. I decided it was time to turn back when I saw deer on the footpath ahead. We had been walking about 40 minutes so didn't shorten the work by so much.
2. Phoned my parents. They are ok .
3. DS1 coming to my rescue. I picked up a bunch of keys as I left the house which had no car keys or house keys on. He was working from home and his boss allowed him to take an early lunch!!
4. Met a friend for lunch. Hadn't seen her for ages- before Covid. It was great to catch up with her. We should perhaps not have picked Bluewater to meet on Black Friday!
5. Quiet evening watching rugby on tv with DH.

For yesterday,
Digging out my warmest of winter jumpers from bottom of COD, will be needed over the next few days.
Into horsey town and saw ex work colleague, apparently toxic work place is just about unbearable nowadays and they are leaving in the new year, even after 6 years still give silent thanks that no longer there.
Capt S had booster jab and all ok so treat of lunch out at nearby pub, wood burner lit and we sat by window watching the weather blow past.
Home and proved dough baked, spelt and pumpkin seeds this time.
No need for cooked evening meal but bread, cheese, wine and olives all enjoyed.

Good afternoon.. Bit wild out there
Sorry I missed some days. I've spent most of them on hold to some insurance company or other listening to rubbish music!
Phew ampersand. I always read your posts extra quickly in case they vanish before my eyes. Daft, I know. It's like knitting quickly when you're near the end of a ball of wool to make sure you have enough to finish!
Finished Shetland and now impatient for next series, even though I didn't entirely sort out the cast of thousands in this one.
Last night we went out, out. First time in ages . We went to our little theatre ( it is too. 99 seats!) to see a piano duo and their backing group. They play all rock and roll and I think we now qualify as groupies we've seen them so many times. It's a great night though and we came out feeling much more cheerful than we did all week.
A very nice man been out this morning to board up the patio door properly. The emergency repairers had left such large gaps I was afraid we would have mice moving in, especially in this weather!
Happy blustery day everyone

Mr Piano Man played on!
Jumpers out.
Dogs walked.
Tests!
Happy Birthday DD!
Van Chips! That is a name of a teacher in old Amsterdam!
The Sails are blowing!
Just had me booster jab in town. All functioning now! They did offer the influenza one as well, but our surgery is well ahead of the game!
Was at the gym this morning getting that ready for the beach trim going again! Weights lifted and run shifted. Then home for bangers and best back! With usual trims and things! Watched the ladies BBL!
Was in last night, as it said blowy on the weather vane, and had some fiery fizzy waters! Watched Patriot Day on the box. Cheeses were also taken! Bit of a shame, was expecting Ted to make an appearance!
Now readied for the match of the day and it is off! So me tea and ginger biscuit watching the gooooooooooooooners on the box!
That is all from the ship's log today!
Jen sends a buzz!
Keep Safe!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!12 -
Bedtime!Friday pleasures. Early morning doggy walk and a foraging of ivy for my banister!Round to mums, took her to supermarket which is an expedition in itself! Dropped her home…which is a relief in itself! I know I probably sound like a very mean person but it’s all very trying.Home and pottered around as I do! More hoovering…never mind your quarter deck Admiral PP, there’s a hairy doggy in these parts!Sat for a while and read The Christmas Chronicles. I’m a bit behind.Made a nice slow cooked sausage casserole using up from the freezer. First time I’ve used the slow cooker in a long time. Had a moment to myself as so many meals for five were cooked in it and now it was a meal for two. Anyway had it with roast potatoes made from leftover baked potatoes from work, parsnips, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower. Then down to work to put out new stock. I do like a bit of visual merchandising!Today, I woke up early then dozed off again and had a horrible dream where I lost the dog, he ran out of a holiday home. Over a field he went and there was another dog ( injured) and a fox! Then DD1 found him but by this time a fire engine was on its way but it wasn’t for the burning macaroni there was a car on fire and then we couldn’t find our holiday home! However I did have a dog! Weird! And woke up quite discombobulated!Went into town to pay a cheque into bank…only I’d forgotten my bank card! Duh! So couldn’t do that.A couple of charity shop finds. New with tags on jeans and a nice emerald green top.Had lunch in a cafe in town. I know the owners so had a lovely chatter with them. And a tuna croissant.
Home. Quick doggy walks. Wrote a list of things to do. Which included pick up trees from back garden! My bottle brush trees had both blown over. Sweep up at front door…so many leaves! Then pulled the Christmas trees from last two years round from side of garden. I’ll decorate them simply.Actually hung a washing out, it was only 2o but bright and very very windy! Not completely dry…but they are now as they’ve been in front of the fire! All autumnal decor is now officially away and making way for winter decor. Put a garland with eucalyptus and ivy up my staircase. Added some lights. Will keep topping it up with greenery as the weeks go by.Chatted to sister , they’d been blown about quite badly with the storm.Went back in to town with DD2 after her work. Then went to L!dl. I’d a £10 off a £40 spend. I actually find it quite hard to spend that much as it’s just the two of us but I managed. Then had a Too Good to Go bag to collect. It had a box of salad, a chicken burger in a bun thing ( had both for my tea, not something I would usually buy) pancakes and scones and caramel tarts. In the freezer. A bag of grated mozzarella, in the freezer. And 2 black puddings also in the freezer. Not for me that’s for sure! Yuk!Had my tea then watched Strictly then up to bed. Alarm set for the morning but only one day of work to do. Hurrah! I can do it!12 -
MHags - sorry about your nasty dream. I had a 5 pleasures dream the other night! I had 2 gates (one a woven wooden hurdle and the other a twirly welded iron gate). I delivered the iron gate to MCC, who sent me a video of it in use, surrounded by snow. The woven gate went to VJsmum, who lived in Hampshire (?), where it was sunny!
Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Woken just after 3 by a tile being blown down the roof. A truly horrible scraping noise when that happens. No "crash" so I thought perhaps it stuck in the gutter or sailed on and landed on the lawn. Couldn't go back to sleep immediately so listened to the storm raging - then another tile blew down! Also heard the wheelie bins on the move. My brother can just about reach the hole in the roof from a ladder but we need to find 2 x 180 year old handmade tiles...
2) Hens OK. No damage down there at all.
3) In VERY EXCITING NEWS! Smaller son has not really been out without me since about 2017 and not at all since 2019, apart from a few trips to the local pub with my brother. He has not had a friend round to the house since he was 8 (he hated it) or been out with friends for a very long time.
Today, his friend from back in high school drove round and he got in the car and they went to Hereford to watch the football !!! They dealt with the sat nav, the parking, finding McDonalds and tolerating the terrible weather. I'm still a bit stunned.
4) I didn't know what to do with myself so drove to Art Deco cinema town and had a cup of tea.
5) An exciting parcel arrived. As smaller son told me, "I don't know what you've done to deserve all this" !
6) Talked to ponytail neighbour at some length (he was putting the blown away fence panels back). Non ponytail neighbour had a huge heart op earlier in the week but is doing very well.
7) Will watch Casualty just now.
Grrr:

Frith, exciting news for your smaller son venturing out.
1-5 For yesterday, we were redecorating when the animal food we share with the in-laws owls turned up so we packed up and off and headed out to visit them, they are good company we put the world to rights they fed and watered us and all is good.
For today
1 A much needed lay in followed by a lot cleaning, tidying, washing loads a pleasure its back up to date ish.
2 We’ve moved the furniture where it should be back in the redecorated lounge and I think DH is feeling overwhelmed in a bad way, at the idea of de cluttering so we are leaving it today I’m hoping the mood will pass.
3 Cooking fish and chips from the freezer
4 We had an eye on some black Friday deals but nothing we actually wanted was on offer, I was able to pick up some choc’s for the inlaws, their favourites on offer. I did buy a new mascara on offer the first one in years oh and my perfume half price for dh to give back doh, first perfume in 10 years.
5 I’ve put Christmas films on in the background.
