Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Tried to have a bonfire of the ash trimmings on the allotment but the Fire Lord is away doing his apprenticeship so that was ineffective.
4) Been watching tv this evening.
I'll save 5 for another day!14 -
Hugs to all who need them.
1. Messaging a friend. We both need to do this as can be honest with how we feel and generally feel an improvement in our mood if it's low.
2. Admiring my daffodils.
3. Chat with a neighbour.
4. Lazy afternoon of watching tv.
5. Enlarged a vegetable bed. I am determined to grow even more veg this year.15 -
Bigger the love, bigger the grief, hugs Mhags.
Thinking of SSue.
For yesterday,
The weekly shop, not exactly a pleasure but good when done, cheered up by seeing the strings heading up to the gallops and a smiling golden retriever being walked by its owner.
Saw the woodpecker for the first time in a few weeks.
Tasty tea, roasted veg on a bed of spinach and topped with squeaky cheese.
Tested brain cells with Uni Challenge.
Started new book, set in town of gown so many familiar locations.

Morning all
Continued thoughts with Cranky, Sue, Mhags and others in need
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Work was worked.
2. Went for a 2 mile walk at lunchtime round the big block
3. New garage door was finally put on properly - they did it a few weeks ago but it was damaged, so now it all works fine. We no longer have to wrestle with anything or kick the door back into place before it can be locked.
4. Finished my latest book - that's 6 this year already!
5. Family film night - DD's choice of Hook. It was ..... OK, a bit long and a bit too 'physical' for me.
Marking today - have a good one all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens16 -
Good afternoon
Cranky - so glad that HT is coping well, and has help and support. That must be a weight off your mind. Hope they get you sorted soon.
Another cold grey day here.
Bubble friend went to the dentist yesterday with toothache and he took the tooth out there and then! Saves any worrying in advance, I suppose, but if we'd known that was going to happen I'd have driven her there and back. She managed, of course.
Bought two more lovely primulas to cheer up a corner of the garden. They are so bright and cheerful, even on grey days.
Watched Unforgotten last night. Another one that requires a serious amount of attention, but is worth it.
BLT for tea. What could be easier?
Happy nearly teatime everyone

Better out than inCranky , Seriously Get well soon
DH still struggling on District Nurse spent 2 days trying to persuade him to have the anti spasm drugs via a syringe driver,on the 3rd day he agreed and a different DN decided he wasn’t bad enough for one !You couldn’t make it up !
I have had an apology as it was implied I was trying to finish him off early .
No love ,if I was trying to would simply give him a lot of the liquid morphine the GP has given me and you’d never know .
can you tell I wasn’t impressed .
He is comfortable ,watching his beloved Norwich and fading
He has no intention of “going gently into the good night “17 -
Cranky, glad they found out what was wrong. x
