Soddit, post just disappeared again.
Okay.
1. Debadgered, Town of Gown, college salon, hooray! Always a boost. Amazingly, no trim needed. No split eNZ - a local rock group for the unknowing😁.

2. & doesn't do panto. & is attending panto ce soir, 18h, Town of Gown.
Fantastic reviews for a creatively worked, socially distanced show and seating. Support local performances, yes!😇. Persuaded after photographer Martin Bond's notes in his Cambridge Diary, which & follows.

3. Will have to head for The Alma after, Toulon v. Scarlets and other 🏉🌹♥️ce soir. Have pudding to deliver🎄🎁.
4. Struggling to return a freezer drawer after defrost. Why won't it go back? When I succeed, it WILL be an osp.
5. Welcome AB, by which & sees you have repented of round ball ways to real 🏉🇳🇿♥️ ABs. This is excellent. Miss KittyHP is preparing haka training homework for you as we speak.

Hello all,
We've made it to the end of the school term yay. Two weeks now without the house troll moaning about school. For unknown reasons I woke up at 3am this morning and didn't get back to sleep so I don't remember much of what I've read today. I'll read it again tomorrow sorry.
Luckily I've had a day off from helping with the great declutter. We've nearly finished the downstairs and we're averaging a chuck out total of about a black bin bag of junk per day. There's also been a huge bag of decent things sent to the charity shop. The HT had an early finish today and my friend wanted to go food shopping so a day off seemed like a good idea.
Hello Admiral. Nice to meet you
It's a day indoors tomorrow as it's a working day for me. I'll try and find time to do my 5 pleasures. Take care all of you13 -
Something lovely happened to my Mum today. She received a card full of thanks, listing some of her many attributes. Strength, kindness, the joy she brings. Couldn't work out whether it was neighbour/friend 'cos she immediately launched into telling me that Dad was upset with her because she keeps opening windows !
OH and I left really early for last big supermarket shop (hopefully) before xmas. It was relatively empty and playing great Christmas songs. I couldn't help myself, started singing and bopping along. Quietly, I thought. One man gave me the thumbs up sign, another told me to stop being so happy 'cos it was too early. Both made me laugh.
Having 3 nieces and 1 nephew all around the same age I buy one identical present each and then individual presents. Managed this morning to buy them all a magnificent set of Sharpie pens, 26 colours. I didn't know I was going to buy them until I saw them tucked away in the pots & pans/kitchenware aisle (?) Reduced. Should have bought a set for myself. I love stationary.
I also love Italian food, especially pasta and when I was looking for a Lasagna recipe found Gino D'Acampo. I love his style of easy cooking. The recipe for a different pasta I want to try making requires tinned Cherry tomatoes. I nearly fell over when I saw the price. £1.05 a tin. Not MSE but I bought some anyway. Ooooops
I think I saw Grace last night. I can only tell if I see her damaged eye. The reason why I think it was her is because she is the only fox that tentatively scouts the ground for food first, the others just jump on the table. She is mature and has survived but I do always hope that she will turn up.
A happy day............I wish you all a happy, content evening

Hello. Didn’t quite make it to posting yesterday. Was probably too tired. Was in at work bright and early and had a tonne of catering to do then ended going back in again to do an afternoon shift as someone is off. Not crazy busy like the previous day. DD2 was at work so just had a leftover from work baked potato for my tea. Then once keys were dropped off I went to bed.
alarm was set for 4am as I had to be in work for 5am. So much to do this morning. So a very quiet doggy walk at 4.30am although the robins were singing at that time. And something else I didn’t quite recognise and of course couldn’t see as it was dark.Much singing and bopping around the kitchen at work as I had my radio on for company.Did a three hour shift then came home and went back to bed for an hour and half. Set my alarm clock to go off at 10.30am.Another quick doggy walk ( they’ve all been quick ones today) and then out to hairdresser. Was there fir 2 hours, greys are gone and hair much shorter. It was lovely when it was done. Was being the operative word! Lovely chatter with girls in the salon.Popped into work. Had something to hand in. Was so busy. Chatted to some friends. Went to supermarket for mums shopping and it was lashing with rain when I came out...there goes the hairdo!Home absolutely soaked. Then had to go round to mums to do her bits and bobs. Had left two voicemails at her hospital but they never got back to me....grrrr! Really needed to speak to someone for some follow up. Did some calls on her behalf. DD2 sorted out her online delivery that was just all over the kitchen.Home and quick doggy walk. Thankfully rain had stopped for a bit ( back on)
Couple of chats to DD1. And currently chatting to the boyo.Another early start tomorrow.12 -
1 I went into a stress cleaning mode today, but I’m not sure I can really call it that when the cleaning did actually need doing.
2 Had a Cornish pasty for lunch which made a change.
3 We have 3 neutered ferrets back from the vets, ahem with bad report cards not for anything bad I hasten to add, but apparently when they came around from the anaesthetic, they woke up grumpy and decided to play fight literally very hard resulting in them doing a “skunk” smell, as they came around. So they had to be separated which turned them in turn into monsters as they are very bonded, so they proceeded to “skunk” again. and literally wreck the cages. It was decided they all loved them with attitude, but they like us can’t wait for the hormones to abate as that get rid of that smell! At home now and they are laying with the rest of the group on vet bed in the hallway watching me cook.
4 I’ve just downloaded an interesting looking Amazon first reads book for free.
5 Somehow I haven’t ordered in only as I know Fridays are dodgy around here, so making spag bol.

For yesterday,
After a brief respite my insomnia is back with a vengeance so felt rough, pleasure of coffee and toast.
Filled the car up and treated us to some Mr Sparks Cherry Liqueurs, a favourite of my beloved.
Received the last order in the post, just need to wrap them now and then a couple of garden gate drop offs next week.
Tempted by an afternoon nap but instead put coat and wellies on to take small dog around the fields, very blustery day and stood watching the birds having fun trying to fly, they did look like they were playing with the gusts.
Sat and did a freezer inventory then a Yuletide meal plan to see us through to the new year.

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday...
Pleasure number one was having a day off from helping friend so a day in and out of my own house. It was supposed to be a quiet day indoors but...
I dropped some cross stitch kits (from the fronts of long ago magazines) off to a lady that had posted in a farcebook group asking if anyone had any cross stitch bits as she needed something to occupy her mind. Also took her some groceries - some from me and some from a friend. The lady said that she was very much cheered up.
The HT had asked for a certain milkshake before he went off to school. Shop didn't have any so I bought ordinary milkshake and some chocolate ice cream to mix it with. I had already done the christmas food shopping earlier in the week and asked him several times if he wanted anything extra. The answer was always "no" until the one day that I had no plans to go to any potentially busy shops, sigh. The pleasure was finding a different milkshake that he wanted to try that was out of stock last time.
The HT had an early finish from school. The pleasure was arriving outside school in time to find a parking spot. Getting away afterwards was a bit interesting but we made it.
The HT gave his entire lego colection to the 6 year old over the road. I did warn his parents that there was a lot of it but they said it was OK. The recipient was as delighted to have it as I was to get rid of it. After that I had a quiet night in and did some online gaming with my friend.
Take care all of you

1. Quickly, while hearing this chanson osp, as &'s osp from Michel Roux, Richard Coles' guest on R4. Beloved Michel Sardou :

Admiral, listen to the words - you won't be sorry.
Slightly clunky translation, but fierce and true. It was a scandal:

2. Yes!!! Took another 20 mins, but finally that freezer drawer went back in.
3. Well, how to convey the glorious and uproarious joy that was Dame Trott's Panto Palaver last night, Cambridge Arts Theatre? Frequent laugh out loud fun, showstopper pauses, much joining in, wicked local puns+fine political black humour, with impromptu audience take-ups. Just great. Huge plaudits to EVERYONE involved, from masked+socially distanced friendly queuing to carefully stewarded exiting after a wonderful time. Temps taken as we entered 1by1, then sanitise etc. Seating brilliantly reworked and blocked. Worth everything for their Tory lockdown rendition of 'The 12 Days of Christmas'....can never un-sing ' F-I--I-I-I-I-VE TOI-LET RO-O-O-LLS....' now.
💥Recommend to all persons, families, friends, Lainey💥
Supporting local theatre is easy, with this show on offer. Count Covidula....the baddie-est of baddies😈👹👽.
4. After show, good walking and window-gazing back to car outside The Alma. Had left crimbo tokens earlier, after dropping rumtopf into rugby club. No Toulon v. Scarlets match. I think VL will know why.

& agrees with her team's decision.
Especially loved the wonderful studio pottery in CCA's windows - studio potting, so much one of &'s things. Then, tracked down 91, Howard Road, Cambridge, after friend's words, yesterday's post passim.
A taste, just amazing, with movement and rhythms!:
5. Concern re: silent Spain slightly alleviated. Turns out it was mutual, thankyou non-connectivity. Ping! in theatre, with curtain about to rise! Caught up after, good - but tough cancer news re: another. & leaves her trailer at C's house, thanks to &'s friends. She's another showstopper, is C, remarkable life, and we form the winning Tuesday night quiz team.

Disappointing news, we all kept each other in our bubbles. My parents, us and sister. It's my Mum and Dad's anniversary and Dad's birthday at the end of the month and no matter what we always meet for that. According to news today bubbles are cancelled. Am sure we are not the only ones disappointed but I do wish they would stop flip flopping. Although I bought insurance for our tickets don't think I will be refunded. The upside is that we have all been so careful, only shopping when necessary and of course I walk Tiggy. The worst thing is not being able to see my family. Again, am not the only one in this position. I was looking forward to seeing them so much. Okay, enough moaning.......
Tried my new pasta recipe and it went down a treat. Using cherry tomatoes did make a difference. But don't forget, I don't like cooking................
Cannot wait until I drum up the courage to bake. On my list is sourdough bread and banana cake, Victoria sponge, scones, Welsh cakes and lemon drizzle cake. As you can tell I haven't been thinking about this much
The atmosphere in the house the last few days has been good and am so grateful. Feel as if I am myself again. Everyone else feels re-calibrated too. Quiet pleasure reigns.
Hope you are all well and keeping safe.
