Hello. Just had the hot shower and jammies are on ....shall venture out later in them with the dog! It’s dark. No one will know! 

Workety work done ...not for the week but at least until Wednesday! Busy day but felt more in control than I did yesterday. Much better when everyone knows what they’re doing! And minimal catering makes a difference too! Good company and chatter and laughter and a box of chocs! 

Decent tips. In the jars. And a Benjamin Bunny 50p added to the special collection pot! 

Didn’t need to start till 8am so had what felt like a decadent lie in bed! ( after cleaning up vomited on stairs socks ( three of!) not impressed , Doggo!) 

Had a dryish doggy walk after a very heavy downpour and it turned out to be a pleasant day ( what I could see from work kitchen ( windowless) . Beautiful sky this afternoon. 

Boss won a prize of some beauty products...ooh let me sniff the soap...have it! Oh no that’s not what I meant...anyway I now have a lovely bar of soap. I do like a nice soap bar! 

Stayed on an extra hour to do forward planning/ diary stuff for catering, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas next week! 

Didn’t go to supermarket! Hurrah! 

The biggest welcome home from my doggy. Always lovely to see him. 

Spent my extra time in bed this morning messaging friends and have had some lovely messages back. A few weeks ago I’d thought about a couple of friends  and thought I must send a text and didn’t . Then I wished I had for various reasons. So made a point this morning of reaching out and say hello. It doesn’t take much. I’ve a few friends doing it particularly tough just now. And they were there for me when I needed support. Anyway have had some lovely messages back throughout the day which has been nice. 

A couple of Christmas cards arrived today...including one from my log supplier!

1) left overs lunch nom nom
2) and made a big pot of risotto with ys bacon medallions for tea - there will be leftovers for breakfast 
3) started writing my Christmas cards with a Tudor Christmas on catch-up
4) then a a few moreover with the lark ascending. Love Vaughan Williams (which I say wh6 I have a lark ascending tattoo on my shoulder)
4) then a long walk with the dogs spotting Christmas lights - managed to get 10000 steps
now listening to Mark Steele in Inverness. Very funny

1. Survived work.
2. Laughing with DS2 while attempting to put Christmas tree up and failing. Buying a new stand today!
3. Some decorations up.
4. DH dropped some paracetamol into DS1. He is ok and managing well at the moment with being by himself.

For yesterday,

Sunshine, we had some sunshine after seemingly weeks of grey dreich, woohoo!

Wandered around the garden and saw various tiny green shoots, gladdens the heart.

Time spent with my girlie, she was on good form and we did some in-hand groundwork.

Simple tea of baked spuds with cheesey beans.

Watched the first half of the Bob and Paul Christmas fishing programme, which in turn made me think of our Frith. Not sure if she ever reads along but hope she is ok and I miss her posts.

Another sunny day, tho a bit chilly!  Much better than endless rain tho.

Hope everyone is ok.  Missing BoP's pronouncements!   Hope all is well.

Went to Aldi today for drinks for Christmas and German treats.   Not busy at all and got what we wanted so another job ticked. We will probably have 2 visitors on one day but the old habit of always having something to offer anyone who pops in dies hard.   No doubt we'll polish the extras off throughout the year.

Bit more titivation ( most ornaments now sport gold ribbon bow ties). It keeps me occupied.  Actually for quite a while as I'm useless at tying bows!

And now we're off to the fish shop to collect our tea. A treat.

been asleep since midday.  Terrible earache on top of usual aches and pains.  Everything else toodling along.  Which is the way I want it.  Calm.

Underneath I am furiously planning and preparing.  Very swan-like me..........tee-hee   I look more like a fattened goose.  But peace reigns and am determined to be kind.  I cannot make these huge changes and leave bitterness.  Lots of work to do.

I am making myself sound like the saint Amp called me but like everyone else I have a little devil that sits on my dominant shoulder.  We are constantly fighting (my angel/saint on the other shoulder stays out of it preferring a quiet life).  I know that I cannot achieve the impossible.  He is a man that will take the bitterness route.  There are other considerations.  I have no rights or security here. (I have checked with all relevant agencies).  It's long and complicated and very private for him so I cannot explain.  But this is what I will emphasis when I manage to leave.  Hoping that as this is all to do with securing my future and practical matters it will take the bulk of emotion out of it.  I don't want to hurt him.

Happycas, glad you had sunshine.  Personally, I would LOVE some snow.
