Bala - hugs to you. There will be a way which you will find. This is a place where you will receive virtual support as people here care about you.
1. House is looking tidier. I'm resigned that we won't have floor down or radiators in by Christmas. Sorted and moved stuff and cleaned well.
2. Christmas tree brought at a local place and service was friendly and good.
3. Fishfinger sandwiches for lunch.
4. Went to Wisley glow. Lights were lovely and enjoyed it. It was wet and people weren't good at social distancing.
5. Chat with DS1 who still hasn't got his test result back.12 -
D Doll - sprouts and ragu for breakfast!! And we had boring croissants!
Bala - I hope the way forward becomes a little clearer today. We are all here.
Mrs SD - my favourite is out of Strictly. Boo!. But I suspect your favourite is my second favourite. Anyone rather than the two sixth formers. Nice enough kids but.....
Got the haircut. Despite DD who had completely confused the times. She's usually very organised so goodness knows what happened there. Sorted now though so all set for Christmas. When nothing much is happening anyway!
D Doll - love the sound of your Christmas market. We're going to Aldi today to get some German style treats. Don't think they'll be saved for Christmas though.
It hasn't stopped raining enough in the last week for me to go and cut down some eucalyptus. Might be making my wreath for Easter at this rate.
Happy Monday everyone11 -
Nargle, I know it's going to be difficult but I am determined. Your post had the tones of the resolve I now feel, thank you.
DD, I love ginger biscuits dunked in orange squash. It reminds me of when I was a little girl. But now I will have to investigate Lidl's offerings............
It's a new day. Feeling really tired but Tiggy has her schedule
Strangely am looking forward to decluttering today. Over the past few years this house has become a hoarders paradise. It is all my fault but I also know it's a reflection of everything I have been battling internally. I have tried to apply understanding, kindness, conscience. Haven't always been successful because I am not without fault. But I am almost at the point of relief, almost at the point of giving myself permission to feel what I feel. No justification needed.

Right ! I am planning/ thinking about being really naughty. On Saturday my brother and I went to one antiquey shop to buy a glass vase I had my eye on for ages. It was £8.00 so he was going to buy it for me. This is what he agreed to but he doesn't understand the concept of actually paying for it. Having agreed to pay for it he thinks the job is done. He does make me smile. Having said that he did order me something that is still a surprise. I think the whole choosing, buying and wrapping has really pleased him. He has also chosen and ordered a present for OH. Bless him, am proud of the respect he shows and his attempts at humour......and and and..........
Anyway, there was another vase that I loved even more but it was £25.00. Couldn't justify that. The lady gave it to me for £10.00. I didn't even ask !
After that we went to 2 charity shops as we are buying presents to be from both of us so his imput was needed. I also wanted him out of the house interacting. Some stimulus other than TV, food and my menagerie was needed. I found another beautiful glass vase !
(Must clarify, Mum, my sister and myself LOVE glass).
So, 3 different styles, each clearly suited to each individual.............and I want to keep them ALL !
Have to stop being so naughty...........
Have a wonderful day

Sounds like you are starting to think about a way forward Bala and the glass sounds wonderful, whatever brings joy is a pleasure.
For yesterday,
Early start, cosy with a first cup of tea, my book, small dog snuggled up and the rain lashing against the window.
Caught up with all things Ambridge and then I also listened to ISIHAC whilst preparing the veg for lunch, think that may have been TBT last recording 😔.
A roast chicken dinner and we talked about childhood memories of sundays.
Managed an afternoon walk in between the heavy showers and then watched the Martin Clunes version of Goodbye Mr Chips, love MC.
A slice of Stollen for a late tea.11 -

First non-rainy day in weeks so...
Wreath is made and in situ. Took next to no time once I got started, and the eucalyptus looks very pretty. And the tree has had a haircut too.
Trip to Morrison's. Very busy for a Monday morning, and everyone else seemed to be buying for a siege. Trolleys very heavily laden. We just did our normal shop, plus a few nuts for Christmas.
Bala - decluttering is a good first step to a new mindset. Only keep that which sparks joy ( Marie Kondo)
Happy dark teatime everyone
