(Early) morning all.
Pleasures for Sunday
1. A long walk - into town and over the old bridge, turned right to go along the river, turned left to go across the fields and right again through the nearest village home. In warmish sunshine. Nearly 7 miles in all.
2. A house in the village had a wheelbarrow of 'help yourself' apples - so we did!
3. OH made a Dorset Apple Cake
4. Cleared up the leaves in the garden - still in the sunshine. Not many left now
5. Yoga
And yesterday
1. Assessmenting done - it actually went ok. One cancelled before we even started (nice of them to let us know), one fail, one unexpected pass which pleased us.
2. Some nice feedback from students in my tuesday class - in a student: staff forum too. I was mentioned in despatches!
3. DD cleaned the bathrooms - that seems to have become 'her' job. I'm all for it.
4. Left over fish curry for tea.
5. watched an episode of White Teeth and the first of the latest season of The Crown. Gillian Anderson is really too beautiful to be Maggie.
Have a great day, all - another teaching day for me. I'm soooo looking forward to tomorrow.I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
1. Seeing the mist over the river in the morning. It looked beautiful.
2. Chat with a friend
3. Helped DS1 with flat pack furniture. He thanked me and said it was calmer than if Dad was there.
4. Read some of my book
5. Early night

For yesterday,
Pink clouds from the sun rise.
Spent most of the morning with my equine girlie, in the sunshine and she was in an energetic mood, the impression of positively floating over the ground cannot be beaten.
Finally got round to some festive shopping, small suppliers only as certain businesses will not be getting my pennies thanks to shenanigans during first lockdown.
Tasty tea of salmon with broccoli and pesto pea gnocchi.
Tv watching, the addictive silliness of Nigella followed by Uni Challenge and grey cells tested.

Beginning to meet this Almost Daily targetWe have tiles to replace some of those shattered by a past “repair”, Miword B&Q was a zoo. Not going there willingly again for years!Oh gods, channel 4 on Nelson & Empire, & Himself nearly going full Elvis. (Or whomever clobbered their TV soundly)Ah the happy buzz of the power tools, and the exclamations as trousers “head south”. Really, sometimes PPE should include braces.Team Meeting ended on an upbeat note, sharing tips for cranachan. (Colleague planning this instead of Christmas pud.)“Don’t shoot your friend in this level”, “remember, don’t shoot food” & other desperately 80s computer game synthesised speech (Gauntlet) burbling from tablet - Himself’s chortling, I’m having flashbacks to student days & Middleson is wholly baffled!Oh strewth, mother fell & clobbered knees & nose & despite rest has massive knee swelling & pain & has been spending quality time in A&E. Trying not to gibber or expect mobile telephony. Pleasure in daughters’ WhatsApp sharing every scrap known. [She’s home, nothing broken just very sore, & we’re so relieved! Now to coax them into self isolating Just In Case.]University Challenge - blimey Paxo’s glasses have become Even More Intimidating. The Great Pumpkin has effectively conceded! Yeay for a civilised transition please...Oooh supermarket own-brand champagne gets the Which taste test thumbs up?! t As ever, responsibly, but to welcome 2021 in with grace? [Miword my colleagues have leapt on this data with unexpected gusto!]
Health strength love & courage to all as have need & if you have a spare prayer for an 80-something mother & grandmother who has had a fall but declined a hospital bed for the night just wanting to go home?, it's appreciated!15 -

Brr, it's chilly today.
Been to the market to order meat for Christmas. He's the butcher who cheerfully and reliably delivered every week through lockdown 1 and so have determined to remain loyal to him. He's undoubtedly dearer than supermarkets, but the meat is undoubtedly better.
Town, and the market, were all but empty. Only food stalls were open, of course, and a few chain stores. It all looked very sad.
Ordered two gift sets from Boots and managed it before they they were out of stock. They're for DD and DDIL's birthdays in February. How organised am I?
Answered a question on Only Connect that neither of the teams could answer. Don't think that's ever happened before!
Happy chilly Tuesday everyone
