Trying this 5 a day gig, RL permitting
mhagster! - Alive & well & posting & reunited with the Haggis - OK in weather anyone would feel saudade for Australia in, but you're back!
so, 5:
Enjoying a book on netsuke - I'll likely never be able to own one of these lovely things but I can look & admire. [It's a bloke thing seemingly - women either have staff, handbags or shove articles in breast of kimono. Baffling, but then needing a steer through the subtleties of the kimono & all its accessories & knots & patterns etc? It figured.]
"You disgust me!" "Get a haircut!" - ah, sibling conversation. Elevated stuff, sadly not. However as fraternal bonding, endearing.
MiWord! The free-in-exchange-for-someone-else's-empty at Costa has worked! Handmade, definitely inducing a feeling of cosseted. Cheers, Martin! May all I passed the good word onto & rubbish-bag-scuffled-for-suitable-empties share my glee.
Emporium magazine includes pukka three ginger tea bag - well worth steeping & sipping & steaming out any might-be virus as the temperature curtsies, deeply, unexpectedly. [Must dig out scraper so weather improves.]
The digital human - seems society is evolving deliverately without stop signals which is an interesting idea. Along with recovering gambling addicts getting very annoyed at the research that's gone into hooking & holding them, and ethical games designers building "save" options in (and forecasting their own doom thereby as the market is all about eyes on screen time)
Sons *requiring* attention. Knew RL wouldn't let me stay. Stay warm, fed, rested, dry, safe, strong, healthy etc as possible!0 -
A mix I thought I had posted previously...
For Sun
1 DH is doing well at selling bits and bobs successfully.
2 DB is back in the UK much to his dismay; the US was of course incredible.
3 Childish yes, and a must - Hocus Pocus on TV bliss!
4 Sorted out 2 more drawers a big bag of donations gathered, it feels a bit odd letting go of the larger sizes.
5 Meal planned for the week ahead based on yesterday’s yellow sticker and sorted meds for the next week.
For Today
1 Another work day done, and I’ve been extended for the 6th time it’s a record and nice to have new year’s work, not for long but better than not.
2 Yellow sticker foods turned into grilled chicken on top of pasta with hm tomato sauce.
3 Monthly bills paid.
4 We treated ourselves to a dehydrator, it was half price ex display, and it looks very smart, but not used at all. Fresh chicken in there to try for the animals after reading up on what they put in treats, the smell of it, is driving the animals rather loopy
5 Sandwiches all done for workdays.0 -

Morning,
Yesterday was back to work. A training day, so not even any kids to lighten my anxiety. Got lots of work done, but nothing I had planned to do!!!!!!
1. Did not have to give DS2 lift, as he also had a training day, but he got to stay in bed! So, up early cos of clocks going forward, out early and arrived early cos no traffic. :j
2. Seeing some friendly faces after the hols.
3. Chat with Head Teacher at the end of the day. Such a lovely lady. Always makes you feel better about yourself, even when you know only it's cos she wants you to do something. :rotfl:
4. Met up with my freebie hunter friend for cheap tea at Costco and free film at cinema. Film was a bit bleak, but caught up on our news.
5. Sat next to ex student and his Mum at the cinema! What a coincidence! Lovely to hear he is doing well at college.
Have a lovely day0 -
Goodness moi! house elf - we are both awake at early o'clock.
Woke to the excellent Emma, heard before, on R4 extra.
DD - re hurrchhrrrrs Matt. No, but spirit sinks at yet another strained plot lurch, so very NOT An Everyday Story of Farming Folk. But remember, &, plot IS contrivance. Grinning news sounds special :-)
#
1. The unravelling lunacy of trumpanzeeland gives & hope.
.
2. Emma, as above.
3. New nurse. Wow, what a blood taker! Super fast, truly felt not slightest touch. Joked re: Olympic gold standard. Can state we both enjoyed it.
4. Scotsdale's. Free bag+happy robins design. 1st day of offer, but at rate of take-up, new ones thought unlikely to last the week. Just a few No More Plants(rtc, some strange ones)+ ditto No More Bulbs. All still in car, safe o/n.
5. Debadgering this arvo. Deffo. a pleasure to think of that - and college salon prices are v.mse.

Mhags, saw good grauniad pic of a Haggis double knocking over his MPs' champion pet award, as he leapt down from winner's podium:-).

1. Cake at work. It was Halloween themed but was for a birthday. Was very good. I have almost stopped eating biscuits and shop brought cakes so it was especially enjoyable.
2. Ordered a voucher from a survey site. Will help for Christmas.
3. DS2 out so didn't have to stretch tea from freezer too much. It was a ham bake that was a large portion but we had lots of veg.
4. Ironing done and put away.
5. Reading my book after lighting the candles.0 -
& also have Scotsdales vouchers so will bike into village and claim free bag.
Monday pleasures
Rare day at home with no reason to head out, cracked through various jobs that have been procrastinating about.
As above, desk is now clear of paperwork but shredder full!
Smashed open long forgotten savings jar and found £22 in old pound coins, will pay into bank and forward to DM's hospice.
Mini alarm went off mid-afternoon and went out just in time to see mouse disappear into side of footwell
Three Winter Ghosts by G Sarjent, glad finished it in cosines of afternoon on sofa.
Blue Planet, wow just wow.0 -
Don’t forget that tomorrow the tack that is on the emporium shelf today will be at its true price and worth, except all of you suckers were fleeced by your own greed of evil!
5 So yesterday! And the care less attitude at the mill is now in full swing of the shovel! The boilers can be damped down for all I care as well!
4 days until BoP is live in Times Square. And you better get ready! The packing is about to start. Two backpacks and mes and BoPsie are out of here!
3 Freezer is being emptied big time and there is no food inn for Raffles just yet! He has caught his own though! No change there! On Saturday passing He came in with another blue tit attached to his mouth, and was wanting to show off his prowess while the snorkers and best back were grilling! He was doored! Still I am out later to get his Whiskas! Mind you on the Scrabble bored Sunday, he did try a pitch invasion!
2 Well last night BoP was in his tutu and chasing on the treader inn the gym. Beach ready body is in trimming for christmas at the moment!
I think for now that will do, but if there are any issues with the daily ditties from BoP, please feel free to question me and you will find out that you are wrong and BoP is correct!
Just wait until the next time!0 -
1) Pumpkin carved and lit in the front window.
2)Sheet 'Ghostie' hung in the big old apple tree and fluttering nicely in the breeze.
3) Sweeties and biscuits ready set out on large serving plates in the hall .....waiting.
4) Lanterns and jam jars with tea lights in (Glow Worms to my girls!) ready be lit and put out to line the drive.
5) Anticipation, the best pleasure of all because the small ones, middle sized ones and big ones who come trick or treating mostly dressed in home done costumes have so little in this village one day a year it's a real pleasure to give them some treats and make them happy!!!0 -
