  • Congratulations DD:beer:
1 I’m getting carried away looking up ways to dehydrate the thyme and also how to make crisp alternatives using anything..
    2 Another day’s work done.
3 Fish and veg was tonights food.
4 Filled up with fuel, used DF’s fuel voucher from Mr T nicely handy.
5 Picked up some reductions, and the only reason I lurk or go in to Mr T, I picked up ham, which is now safely snaffled in the freezer, with one portion in the fridge.

    DD Congrats!

PK I am so jealous of your dehumidifier!

& Ambridge ..........really? I like it best when it is really boring and just the story of everyday folk. :)

    1. No classes on Tuesday, so spent the day on admin. Lots of bits finished. :)

    2. Sausage and mash for tea.

    3. Managed to get a bit of my quilt done........Needed to just sit and sew for an hour.

    4. Started to watch Stranger Things.

    5. There must be a number 5......it was a nice day!

    Have a lovely day :)

    Congratulations DD.

    1. Got through work. Lots of small things happening which make work difficult.

    2. Caught the bus to work. Could read my book and saved money on car park charges.

    3. It was lovely to get home and unwind.

    4. Watched bake off.

    Mahoosive congratulations, DD

Morning from the early train to London - it's PhD stage 2 viva day :eek: Wish me luck. I am strangely calm - mainly cos I don't really know what to expect but I know (nearly all) my stuff...

Pleasures for the last two days

    1. Coffee with former colleague, who is now colleague elsewhere. he gave me some help with the webinar i have to do tomorrow.
    2. DS's room is nearly finished. One more coat of paint to go.
    3. The strangest most frustrating day yesterday. Went to do an interview in Milton Keynes. DD had to be driven to work first as the trains were in disarray. That made me late for my interview but the woman i interviewed was fab about it and we rearranged for a couple of hours later.
    4. Then i left my notebook and interview notes, and other paperwork in a shopping basket in Morrisons  The pleasure was that they had had it handed in. i didn't notice until I got home so had to go all the way back to MK to get it :( I did get some work done on the train
    5. I had earlier got free parking at Morrisons.
    6. OH had cooked lasagne which we had when I got back. With a large glass of red - i deserved it
    7. DS got stranded in Chorley after the football. But a taxi was laid on by the train company to get him back to liverpool. Phew..

Have a good day all - see you on the other side
I wanna be in the room where it happens

DD - felicitations, and another big word to read.:-). What can this mean for you now?

HE - re: hurrchhrrrrs, agreed. Further, Freddie/Nollie thing is cast as attempt 'to attract younger listeners to r4'. Beeb wreckage plan continues, as per gumment agenda.

Lainey, hope jolly robin bag bagged and Yes, re: many more partridges this year.

    1. Debadgered, hooray:-), while reading Ann Bridges' 'Illyrian Spring'(1935), lovely Daunt edition. Wonderful, longing writing, terrific observation - journeying, marriage, people, place. First knew her in early Virago edns. Cover admired by L, college tutor, which led to Persephone Books intro. Later 'signed up, love them' msg from her.

    2. Dropped proofread, massively corrected leaflet back - expensive failure therefore, even including basic horror errors of misspellings, grammar no-no's, omitted words, photo/caption misplacement. Must never happen again. 'New in post' is not licence to chuck wet babies....

    3. Above done, handed 20mins of parking tkt to another driver.

    4. Dig, weed, pre-1. More Japanese anemones removed. Now see Scotsdale's rtcs are a Japanese Red Cedar and a large growing blueberry. Hmm.....put where? Useful fig pruning to do as per Sat grauniad's Alys Fowler. Slowly reading my one newspaper purchase wkly. Bonus Tim Minchin piece too:-)

    5. Ed Reardon is made for our bop and latest series is sharper, truer, funnier than ever. R4, 1830h Tues, bop. iPlayer, FREE, right now. Give one a whirl - it's a compliment &'s paying you:-) Enjoy big Apple backpack packing+trailing+setting down at other end. Raffles, newt+titmeister, keep the yellow thing switched on please.

:j many congratulations to DD and all positive thoughts winging their way to VJ'SM

    Tuesday pleasures,

Morning run round chores completed, including acquisition of free robin bag & and bag of treat size Maltesers for the imaginary Samhain visitors, as always no-one turned up but Capt S is happy with his treat stash.

SIL dropped in for lunch and we had a good catch up over HM soup and bread,

Lulu had a horsey massage :) she absolutely loved it and our smashing physio found a problem which she swiftly sorted, by the end my ponies nose was just about touching the floor, think she was relaxed :rotfl:

Fish pie but with an oaty/crumble style topping, yum and not so heavy as normal mashed pots.

My darling nephew playing for the Mighty U's in the FA Youth cup, they beat the old enemy in their backyard :j
